I still can't get over PBF's hypocrisy at asking Canelo to fight at 152.

I'd say there's >size< and there's effective size in boxing terms....broad shoulders, long arms, being a bit top heavy etc. Alvarez has more of a wrestlers physique, tbh. He's what you'd imagine Matt Hughes would look if he boiled down a weight class

I think Floyd's camp should demand canasshole get down to 145 just to put it on even ground

I'm really surprised people are giving him a pass for it.

I'm surprised people have sympathy for a guy who boils down to 154 then balloons up to 175. Two wrongs may not make a right....but three rights do make a left. Or something.

I agree it's bullshit, but that's part of the fight game as it stands now. If you want to fight at 154, you have to be prepared to face a guy who weighs 175 in the ring. Floyd is gonna be giving up 20+ lb on fight night no matter what, why not let Canelo come in at the division weight? Curious what the punishment is for coming in over.. would be funny if it was something financial & Canelo just paid out Floyd and came in at 154 (a la Floyd/Marquez)

Haha, no doubt, it would be sweet irony. Ultimately though, it's 2 pounds, I can't see it being a big deal or affecting the Ginger.

i think alvarez should come in at 160 lbs, just miss the weight altogether, why even bother to cut much. too much money on the line for mayweather jr to back out

Ask? PBF says it was Canelo's people that suggested the weight , he just merely agreed to it :dunno:

I forget if I read it somewhere or if it was on a message board, but during that fight Ruiz (as always) kept complaining to the official and one guy said "what do you think he's complaining about?" and another guy said "he keeps punching me!"

Lol @ this line from the presser! This is Floyd talking.....

people say ‘Mayweather, you know you’re facing Canelo?’ And I say, ‘Yeah, but can you tell me just ten world champions he beat? Just ten?’ That’s all I ask.”

If he Starts Saying he's AS FAST or FASTER than Mayweather, then Canelo's REALLY Fucked...It'll Be Guerrero All Over Again...

Am I the only person who was impressed by Guerrero's performance, especially in the first half of that fight? I think I only had a point or two in it after 7 or 8. Robert fought extremely, extremely smart waiting for Floyd to lead and punching with him, going to town with his free hand when Mayweather held. He was rolling with half of Floyd's leads and landing hard, hard body shot counters. Sometimes I wonder what the fuck fights people watch.

    Anyway, digression.

Alvarez is probably just talking. He's hardly gonna get a white board out and start drawing diagrams of his game plan for Team Mayweather. But I don't think it sounds so crazy either. I think he should press range and force Floyd to lead, he has the counter punching/rolling skills & the power to make that strategy work.

I don't think any plan he can come up with will work vs Floyd

Floyd is just a great fighter

There ain't a horse that can't be ridden. Especially if you're big enough to make the horse your bitch.
