If Floyd signs to rematch Ortiz I'd criticize that move heavily. He needs to fight Pacquiao or the winner of Cotto-Margarito. Ortiz rematch is meaningless.

the gate did relatively poor, we'll see what the ppv totals are. but i doubt they make a rematch unless they were tremendous (well over 1.5 mill)

I'm sure the PPV will be over a million...

    "however"

Seeing it's taken this long to release a number I'm sure there's creative accounting going on. The ending of the fight should drum up more interest.

I thought the casino's bought most of the seats then offered deals to get folks into town or flat out gave away seats.

I can't believe there were many suckers who bought full price seats.

    Neil,

I'm disappointed in you, son. Don't you know sly isn't a boxing fan, he's a FLOYD fan. The two are mutually exclusive.

A rematch could potentially be huge, the first fight outcome dominated sports headlines for a week.

Then again, people might have forgotten about it/not care by then.

I agree a rematch is bullshit though, there's zero point to watching that fag get schooled and quit/get KO'd again.
