I dont think ive ever been so stunned by the way this fight was perceived.

Floyd is a total piece of scum. He's a 12 year old, plain and simple. Yeah Ortiz was outta line first, yeah Floyd was within the rules, but he's just a petulant little bitch. His tantrum at Merchant was LOL funny.

I look at the ending this way. You're in a fight and someone pulls a knife, so you pull out a gun and shoot him....fine.

If a guy pulls a knife, then he backs off, and you wait til he goes home, drive to his house and shoot him in his sleep, you're a pussy.

Floyd's was a bitch move, regardless of whether it was legal. It's just the difference between being a decent human being, and being scum. Floyd comes from a family of filth, and he is filth, end of story.

That is exactly what I wondered. Although I'm not going to jump on the Ortiz quit bandwagon I did think he was getting close to the quitting point.

At any rate Ortiz had been using his head before that anyway. I saw at least 2 other points in the fight where Ortiz was right up against Floyd and purposely positioned his forehead toward's Mayweather's face almost in a threatening manner comparable to someone pointing a cocked pistol in your face but not quite pulling the trigger. I thought the ref should have warned for that but since he didn't catch it either time Ortiz wound up pulling the trigger on that headbutt later in the fight.

I think Ortiz had to be practicing that stuff in camp because that's where bad habbits are made, and IMO the butt didn't look premeditated but more reflexive in nature.

Ortiz seems like a headcase and a weirdo anyway.

Ike used to say that Mosley is a male bimbo, a "mimbo", that's also the impression I get when I listen to Ortiz.

(While watching the replay of him getting clobbered by Maidana)

"My thoughts on this are....woooooooowwwwwwwwww, haha"

All through the Ortiz vs Berto fight, I sat here and said that Ortiz was using his head. And people want to know why I had an agenda. The guy is a butting filth-bag.

By using the term "using his head" perhaps others here thought you were saying that Ortiz was really out-thinking Berto.

That would explain the reason people thought you had an agenda because it's pretty ridiculous when taken from that angle.

What's strange is that PBF was noticably irritated at the end of the fight, and on the defensive, whereas Ortiz was smiling like an idiot.

Ortiz fucked up ultimately, but I think he had the right idea trying to bully the bully. In a sense, Ortiz had PBF exactly where he wanted him - pissed off and presumably ready to fight him.

Yeah. Let's give PBF credit for 1 of the more visuaally pleasing KOs wins of his career.

Let's not let the fact it didn't happen, and that it's based only on your feeling that it would, get in the way of celebrating it as if it did.

Funny, some are surprised at how this is perceived one way...

I am surprised that it really is even that much of an issue on Floyd's side! IMO Ortiz should be fined heavily, banned from boxing or something!

a jumping head butt should not be tolerated at ALL

Worst analogy ever. You have no common sense.

Ortiz started hugging and kissing Floyd immediately after Cortez noticed the headbutt. Floyd could have reacted at that moment (wrongly) and he didn't but accepted the apology and the excessive hugs and kisses.

Cortez THEN deducts the point. Many seconds expire at this point. Cortez then waves the fight back on and says "let's go!".

The fight had resumed. Ortiz decides he wants to hug Floyd again (perhaps he enjoyed the previous hugs a great deal) and Floyd decides not to throw punches intitally but oblidge him a little. But now it's time to fight and Floyd throws a light left hook which should have signalled to Ortiz that it's time to fight but instead Ortiz keeps his hands down and looks and Cortez.

What should Floyd have done young Jones? Let Ortiz have a conversation with the referee about the current immigration debate in America?

It's a fight, and the fighters are there to throw punches.

EVERY OTHER FIGHTER would have done the exact same thing.

How the fuck did Ortiz quit for those claiming he did? The guy was knocked out, crawling around on all fours. lol Sure he quit.

Mayweather is a piece of shit. That's about all there is to say about this "Fight" in fact all of these fights were garbage. Morales is lucky they served him up this title on a silver platter, and still he was losing more rounds than he was winning, he's lucky the cut happened. Canelo is just garbage, he was on his way to losing to Gomez when he was assisted to Victory. Jesse Vargas ain't as good as Mayweather thinks. Not close.

Mayweather is the man. Pound for pound number one once again. He showed the world how you dispatch of a young solid top Welterweight. You take him out in 4 short rounds! You don't hang around for 12 rounds like Pac did with Margarito, Mayweather-damaged Mosley and Clottey.

Move over Pac, the true king has returned! :egypt:
