Michael Dokes is dead.

Fights I really wish happened would have been Weaver vs Quarry and Holmes vs Quarry. :dance:

 

The first one is a bombs-away sort of affair... great style and temperament match-up

The second is a very easy "stopped on cuts" victory for good ol' Larry

 

Larry would have just jabbed and stayed safe. Not Quarry would have busted up too easy but he would have eventually.

 

Mike Weaver once beat up Jerry Quarry in sparring, breaking a rib.

Jerry would never fight him after that.

 

What year was that, Stinger? The year would tell us a lot. If Mike did that in the early 70's that would be impressive enough. Late 70's..less so.

 

Early - mid 70's soon after Mike was discharged from the Marine Corps.
