Different story here man. If I remember correctly, Shane had the opportunity to clear his head, but elected to fight right away instead. Collazo injured his hand in the 3rd round of a 12 round fight. It's not like he had the opportunity to take time to avoid the injury, or it was gonna wear off in between rounds like the effects of a headbutt would.

Collazo isn't a great boxer. If he was, why did Hatton and Rivera have no trouble putting hands on him? He is a southpaw, who brawls just as much as he boxes. Footspeed isn't gonna matter much in this fight, because Shane isn't hard to find and will be right in Cotto's mug all night. Handsped may play a factor, no doubt. But so may youth and stamina.

Cotto is more than just a pressuring brawler. You're making him sound like Margarito or somebody. You're underestimating Cotto big time, and failing to realize that we're not talking about a prime Shane Mosley here. We're talking about a fighter near the tail end of his career, who fought on even terms with a shot Fernando Vargas, who couldn't put away "a pressuring brawler" like David Estrada (who Cintron starched), who may have a good chin, but doesn't like it to the body, and just so happens to be 35 years old and looked like he was gonna die in between the late rounds of his last nondescript fight. :eek:ld:

Agree with every word. Still doesn't change the fact Hatton had Collazo about to shit his pants and looking for the ref to help early on. When Collazo went 9 rounds injured against Shane and seemingly was never in any danger. Hell, even Rivera seemed to have Collazo in more trouble than Shane did.

Basically agree with most of your points, Antwuan....

But I think injury or no injury Mosley still beats Collazo, though it would have been closer.

Also, he would have lost to Forrest in the first fight anyway regardless of the headbutt (though I know that wasn't necessarily your POV).

    Peace.

I have to agree with the Sly one on this one. Sly... I swear I was going to start my post with the same "you are crazy" lol:lol:.

IMO the fight boils down to this. Shane can punch and Cotto has shown that he can generally take a good shot. Cotto is getting better and has to be concerned about being so open in the first part of the Judah fight. Cotto is learning and will probably correct some of those mistakes.

Cotto is a lot better puncher than anybody wants to give him credit for. He has consistently gotten to the body of his opponents. Shane does not have the legs to avoid Cotto. Shane does not have the punch to stop Cotto in his tracks.

Shane's combos are not strong enough to prevent Cotto from getting there first. Cotto is relentless.

    Late stoppage Cotto.

Yeah but chins are not in question here. Mosley ain't stopping Cotto by grabbing him inside.

    Great post.

    I am picking Shane BTW.

But I agree with all the reasons you give for a Cotto victory, and even if he loses, he is going to be around the P4P ratings for awhile.

Good post. I definitely dont see this as any easy fight for Shane, Cotto could very well win, but I'm picking Shane to edge him. Judah, and Malignaggi cant compare to Shane, not even the current past-primed version of Shane. Mosley brings a skill set, and toughness that neither Judah nor Paulie posses and IMO he still throws faster combos than Zab(Zab has a been a one-punch at a time fighter for several years now). But at the same time, Cotto will be bring pressure to the table than Shane hasnt seen in awhile. Should be a great fighter either, but I'm leaning towards Shane based on handspeed, toughness, and experience.

I hope Shane is still in fine counter-punching form, he enthralled me with his reflexes against Collazo, Shane aptly proved that he still is the shit, Cotto had better pray to the great Centaur in the sky that he lands a squeamish one to the liver or kidney's, because without a great deal of fortune, he may aswell walk down the isle waving goodbye for his entrance. :crafty:

No, I think Phonetap is merely saying that Jake would pick any Puerto Rican fighter because his wife is Puerto Rican.

Your donkey had abreast herself with a box-jellyfish of bone-nibbled hooves because Mosely gunna bust the caramel gristle in Cotto's snout and perseverate the whippy drawals like a salute on the pitched larch of triumphant london, splatta dat mud mule, and if your trivial, once the malnutrified deflation has dopple dozed off the scales, Cotto's phantom ox-tongue could be forensically tested as the culprit that leapt from garden to madison square garden picnicking the veterans hobby foliage and insidiously tore half the crustified roots up in New York, ever seen a mangey porch scrounger snark like a lonely wolf?..may aswell fend the feind with shattered candids of young kin ya mercinary cunt. :flip:

It is a well-known fact that before his fight with Williams, Margarito stated that "WIlliams hasn't beaten anyone".
What is less-known is that after the fight, the defiant Margarito stated:"So what? He still hasn't beaten anyone".

:nono: Margarito will be fighting to wrangle Cotto's teat after a nervous jerk of the abdomen, get them creamy fluids into that tin catch you scounderal he says and strikes the bewildered sow on the dulap. Margarito will keep Cotto, in this age of Fraud Mayweather's policeys, acceptability for seconds on a once beaten bullock. Your next.

you may appreciate mosley but you sure aren't a fan. just imagine (for a moment) a boston red sox fan giving an indepth analysis of their teams weaknesses before proclaiming the "other" team will win... ...think NOT!

you're slipping donny...your posting reeks of favoritism towards cotto. not only do you think cotto will win but you want him to win...

I'm a self admitted Cotto hater. It's not that I'm a hater, it's just that I picked against him time and time again.

This one is definately going for Cotto. He will beat him much easier than he beat Judah. Mosely, never a very good mover, is way too stationary now. He will be right in front of Cotto all night long.

    Cotto TKO 7
