I think the safest bet is Rosario turning Miggy's lights out within 6. But its not really a safe bet considering Chapo's lack of durability.
Not sure that's a safe bet at all, TBH. I know that Chapo was a murderous puncher and Cotto can't even spell defense in Spanish or English, much less practice it. Still, you have to kill the guy to get him out of there. I can see Chapo putting him down. Keeping him down would be the trick and the longer the fight lasts, the more I like Cotto's chances. I'll take Cotto twice climbing off the canvas to force a stoppage late in the fight.
It's really an either/or Rosario was a monstrous hitter and the key was to be able to survive that early onslaught and punk him, because he was a bit of a front runner Jake is correct in pointing out that Cotto has always been a brave guy with a lot of heart and he is resilient, so I could see his scenario It's really a tough call, and Rosario was about as consistent at 140 as Ruben Olivares was at 126... so he could also get soundly beaten without doing much of anything
Must've had a slight attack of dyslexia. I could swear I read: Miguel Cotto vs Rosario Dawson :giggle:
I am gonna say Rosario for this one. I think he gets out in front & stays there. I just never did like Cottos whiskers at 140 at all. Someone like Tszyu, for instance, with his big right & laser-sense of timing, would have done a number on Cottos chin & pourous D in surprising fashion, & I like Rosario to get it done.
