Fights for a title at a particular weight should be fought at that particular weight.

How old is his pro game...........a much fairer test would be Tarver at the same age, as they both turned pro relatively late. I think Tarver was 29 or 27 or something.

    REED'll Play Along...

GGG's Had 33 Pro Bouts...By his 33rd Professional Bout, Antonio Tarver had Faced the Following:

    Roy Jones 3x
    Bernard Hopkins
    Glen Johnson 2x
    Chad Dawson 2x
    Montell Griffin
    Eric Harding 2x
    Clinton Woods

Soooooo, By WHATEVER Criteria You Wish to Use, GGG's Resume SUCKS for a Guy w/the Number of Bouts he's Had...PERIOD...Even for a Guy that Got a Late Start to his Pro Career...There's Really NO Justification for It & ANY Insinuations of what he's OWED Amounts to Sheer Dicksuckery...

Hell, Guillermo Rigondeaux is OLDER than GGG, Fought FEWER Bouts, yet Also has a BETTER Resume...Slice it ANY Way You Want, GGG Still Comes Out on the ASS End of Resume Debates, Dude...

Where had Tarver faced those guys.............at 175.

In at least two of those cases, it was guys moving UP to face Tarver, or who had moved up at some point along the way.

How many names are at 160 that are prepared to fight GGG..............

Much like Dave Chappelle said "terrorists dont take black hostages because they are bad bargaining chips", it is also true that black boxing fans, by and large, do not like Golovkin.

    interesting phenomenon

Typical GGG Fanboy Bullshit....Ya'll Burn the Candle from Both Ends, Claiming he Dropped and/or KO'ed Kovalev in Sparring or Handling Chavez Jr Likewise...Yet, in the Next Breath, GGG Can't Be Bothered to Fight Beyond 160???Hell, Wasn't the Chavez Fight, that Never Materialized, Slated to Be at '68????

Believe it or Not, REED Likes WATCHING GGG Fight...He's as Good as it Gets at Ridding Himself of Bums...

REED's Problem is the Hype is DRASTICALLY Out of Proportion with WHO GGG has Faced...Especially Considering the Number of Bouts he's Had...

    The Resume DON'T Lie...

Maybe Not You SPECIFICALLY, but GGG Fans Most Certainly Have...

"He KO'ed Bute as an Ammy, he Dropped/Stopped Kovalev in Sparring...He Handled Chavez Jr in Sparring...Oh, but we SHOULDN'T Expect GGG to Move Up a Whole 8 Pounds...Oh No!!!..."

I am not even sure if I am a GGG fan. I think I have tuned in for two of his fights..........the Monroe and Macklin fights.

Its much more the case that I regard with distaste the double-standards at work.

For openers , HBO are always going to hype GGG. He is one of their fighters and they usually do that.

Secondly, guys who walk through bums usually get hyped, Zab Judah is the classic example, to the point that he was hyped to blow out Tszyu....so it's not exactly unprecedented or unheard of.

I don't put much stock in the sparring stories. Nobody says that Spadafora should move up to 154 and fight Floyd tomorrow, even if he beat his ass in sparring, it means fuck all.

I don't know how good GGG is or is not....when Henry Armstrong moved up to 160 he fought Ceferino Garcia, when Mickey Walker moved up to heavyweight, he fought Max Schmeling, and thhe didn't stand there refusing to fight them because "I damn near weigh 150".....

EDIT: when I quoted you, the backslash moved to straight-slash.

Bailey fight at 147 now......152 would suffice.
