That's because it was so humiliating to Duran. You can't help but think what a quitting piece of shit Duran is in that fight. Trying to act macho, but instead looking like the biggest pussy ever. At least he beat Davey Moore.

Leonard not allowed to have excuses for the first fight. Duran encouraged to have excuses for the rematch. Check.

That was my subtle ironic point, but in reverse. Either there are excuses all round, or not. You can't say Leonard fought the wrong fight in the first fight then say the clown ring and timing had no effect in the second.

Duran forced that fight on Leonard. Leonard forced his fight on Duran in the rematch. There may be reasons, but they're not sure excuses.

If you're good enough, you'll win.

    So do I.

Duran fought a beautiful fight and won a close but very clear decision first time around.

In the second fight, Leonard humiliated Duran so badly that he quit in the middle of a round.

No excuses, just facts. That's what happened.

The second fight was close, which is why Duran quitting over a bit of shoeshining and showboating by Leonard is all the more inexplicable

Yeah, it was close until Leonard pulled Duran's pants down in front of everybody in that 7th round

Duran is the better & greater fighter. The Duran who showed up in Montreal beats any version of Leonard 10/10 times.

& What EXACTLY Does this Mean???...

Prizefighting has NEVER had a "Regulation" Sized Ring...The Size has ALWAYS Varied to the Behest of the PROMOTION...Fuuuuurthermore, You have YET to Illustrate that Leonard A) REQUESTED a Larger Ring or B) FORCED Duran to Fight in One...

This Really is THE SILLIEST "Boxing" Argument REED's Ever Seen...

    You Didn't...

But You're QUICK to Point Out the Slightest Exaggeration that Steve Dave or Someone Says about Leonard, while Saying NATHAN about the Sheer IDIOCY of the Duran Statements...

NOBODY Beats Ray Leonard 10 Out of 10, Bro...

I think I made it pretty clear that the stuff the Duran guys are saying is bonkers

But the fact remains that the "Leonard Dominated" narrative for fight II is way more commonly cited than the outlandish things Hut and Loaded are saying

Of course nobody beats him 10 out of 10... Is that even worth commenting on?

Leonard "dominated" (:wack:) is worth commenting on because people say that bullshit all the time

REED Doesn't Recall Anybody HERE Saying Leonard "Dominated"...WHO Said that, Exactly???...

Steve-Dave Pointed Out Leonard Having a "Dominant ROUND 7", Which he Did...He JABBED the Shit Out of Duran to the Body & Head, OUTFOUGHT Duran Along the Ropes, the Couple Times Duran Manuevered him There AND Showboated..."Just alot of Showboating Bullshit" ISN'T an Accurate Description of Round 7, Bro...

Leonard Put Duran's Mind (& the Fight) in his Back Pocket, in Round 7...

Regulation size is 18 or 20 feet, you know that fine well. And you know fine well that a supra-normal sized ring is a big factor in a fight where one guy's whole fight strategy is to run from the other as Ray did in the 2nd fight. You're seriously saying that the above is the 'silliest argument you've ever seen'? None of the above is even debatable.

You're BLINDED by Fandom, Brother Hut...You LEGITIMATELY Feel Duran was JUSTIFIED in QUITTING, Which is Straight Up ABSURD, Dude...If You Watch Round 7 of the RE & Come Away w/Leonard Doing NATHAN but "Showboating & Running", there's Really NATHAN Fuuuuurther to Discuss...

REED Never Thought he'd Say this, but You're Even More BIASED for Duran than REED is for Roy Jones...

    REED:lol:

99% of title fights are in 18 or 20 foot rings.

Agreed. What's your point? Cards aren't relevant in that fight. It didn't go to the cards. Leonard stopped him.
