    Because he didn't.

He had 2 amateur fights and yet, amazingly, beat Savarese and climbed off the mat to beat Golota.

Clogg alludes to Lewis being favourite but outside of people who KNOW......and I would count most of this forum as being KNOWING........a lot of bandwagoners felt Lewis was a big duffer ready to be beaten by big, ripped, Grant.

Grant was swallowed whole by the moment.

In any pick-em, I always go with the guy who has the better chin.......the guy with the most power has the most to lose and sooner if it turns out his power isn't the leveler he needs it to be.

I think that's a pretty good rule to by, especially if the guy with the bigger punch relies on it too much. Boxers usually beat punchers anyway. If the "boxer" has a solid chin it makes the guy with the power's job even harder.

He had 12 amateur fights, not two

Savarese was a terrible fighter and Golota would've easily won by KO if he wasn't such a fucking headcase idiot

The fight was not a pick-'em at all... Lewis was a prohibitive favorite and rightly so

Byrd-Tua? I don't remember the odds but I remember I picked Tua and was surprised at how easily Byrd handled him.
