I was surprised by how dominant munguia was tonight. Perhaps Alvarez took a lot out of Ryder

Regardless, as I have said before, munguia would skull fuck berlanga

I think the boxing world wants to see Munguia skull fuck Berlanga. Let's see if Edgar will actually take the fight (I doubt he will).

I don't think Canelo wants it with any young fighter, I really don't. He's content with fighting the guys from his generation.

I don't see him stepping in with Benavidez or Munguia.

They might as well fight eachother.

Benavidez will stop Munguia, but it'll be a war while it lasts. Let's see it.

I dont want to see Canelo fight Munguía. I think Canelo wants to wipe out the Charlo bloodline. It's personal for him. The boxing world wants to see Canelo vs Charlo.

I would also rather see Canelo vs Munguia.....but Munguia's response to who you want to fight next. "nothing is on the table"...the the interviewer pushes a bit mentioning Canelo name....then he says "Sure, it will be an honor" FUCK that if you want to fight a motherfucker you call him out...

Of course he just might be being polite....and team Canelo/Munguia are already in agreement for May...

Alvarez got 2 more fights with haymon. So munguia will have to wait till 2025. Surely Alvarez was overpaid as haymon needed him to leverage/entice amazon to fund his shit show

Well a girl I know is friends with his family(Munguía) and she claims he's fighting Canelo. She said that months ago I didn't believe her but now it's starting to look very likely it will happen. Munguía made a statement by stopping Ryder.

The old saying about the squeaky wheel gets the oil doesn't apply to Canelo. Showing up to his post fight conference and making a scene doesn't get you a fight with Canelo. It's the opposite. Just ask Benevidez and Andrade. Some good talking shit about Canelo did for their careers. Canelo is old school no nonsense does his fighting with his fist not his mouth. Very old school Mexican.

Did that type of calling out ever really works?

I don't recall any fight that was made cause one guy insulted the other (I guess there's a few examples, but unless I'm gravely mistaken, they are few and far between)

Sadly, Roy-Tarver is the Most PROMINENT Example...

It doesn't hurt....but you also need to be building up your resume and have a few W against top opponents. Munguia has been bullshitting for it feel like a decade now...

Canelo knows Benevidez can fuck his shit up.....he would fight the Charlo#2, Andrade, Ryder, Avni, Smiths of the world before Benevidez....

Canelo should want to destroy Benevidez bloodline..

Yeah, that's a pretty good example, but I wonder if the fight still would have been made anyway. It seems that RJ had no intention to stay at HW or even go to CW, and Tarver was the mandantory of a few associations IIRC.

Even after the insults, Tarver vs RJ wasn't seen as a compelling matchup. I guess it's possible that maybe RJ feelings were so hurt that he wanted to give Tarver a lesson (how badly that turned for him...)

Edit: Tarver was champion at the time RJ moved back down

I watched highlights of Munguia-Ryder (I don't have DAZN anymore).

Munguia is live against Canelo at this stage. A fuck of a lot more live than junkie Jermall is.

That was Munguia's best showing yet although I still think he's pretty limited. Munguia against Canelo will give us a clear idea just how good he really is.

You'd rather see berlanga vs Alvarez than charlo? I choose neither but berlanga is basura. Edgar basura in fact. Even an inactive inebriated charlo beats that fraud

Yeah Canelo could be on his death bed and beat Berlanga. Jermall, even a faded Jermall, has a better chance of pulling an upset.

I wanna see Munguia vs Berlanga.

At 168, in order, these are the guys I'd give the best chance of beating Canelo:

    1. Benavidez
    2. Morrell
    3. Pacheco
    4. Munguia

Pacheco would likely fuck up Munguia right now. He certainly would within another year.

Munguia may have Margarito like punch resistance. Hearn may steer clear of him with pacheco for the immediate future since he's his best prospect

If Canelo isn’t fighting 1st Benevidez or Munguia in May…I rather see Canelo fight Berlanga…yes he is basura, a bullshitter who hasn’t improved one bit…BUT the fight will be short, explosive & brutal…inside of 6 rounds.

Canelo vs Alcoholic Anonymous Charlo will be a repeat of the 1st fight…a lot of moving & stink…
