In fairness, it has a complex rhythm guitar progression.

David Bowie -- love him, well his classic stuff anyway... Berlin Trilogy is great, Station to Station is unassailable, Hunky Dory is great, Ziggy is excellent, Diamond Dogs is a mess but it has good parts, same with Young Americans... great artist

Roxy Music -- I think being English is a requirement for liking them... I don't qualify... snooooooooze

Mott The Hoople -- yawwwwn... their best moment was a Bowie song which Bowie himself did better on his otherwise forgettable 1974 live album

Eno -- outside of his contributions to Bowie, I find him boring and the fact that he assisted U2 and Coldplay in creating albums that mask their complete and total lack of musical skill doesn't make me like him a whole lot more... all that said, his contributions to Bowie were excellent

I just find the song really funny... Morrison's vocals, all fat and bloated... the yells and screams don't seem to be happening for any real reason, they just ARE... it is fun to listen to, very humorous and the jangly honky-tonk piano solo after the bloated bellowing of "Oooooooohhhhhh YEAH!" is just hilarious to me, such an unintentionally funny juxtaposition

The Doors were a good playing band, unique sound... I just find their songs ridiculous and their singer, both in his Dean Martin on Acid early days and his farting, bearded pot-bellied bellowing days utterly preposterous... sometimes, I enjoy hearing them for both of these reasons but I laugh at people who take them seriously on any level

I never liked the Doors. Light my fire is one of the most annoying songs ever.

I am actually going to see Hall and Oates tomorrow night. Always a great show. Watch a few episodes of Live from Daryl's House and then remember the dude is 66.

nah, not at all, man... solos don't have to be Joe Pass or Andres Segovia to be great (I can;t play like either of those motherfuckers)... Krieger's solo is tremendous, always liked it... hell, you know how much I'd like to murder The Eagles, but they almost always had really excellent, melodic guitar solos in their songs... "Peaceful, Easy Feeling", "One Of These Nights", "Hotel California", I HATE those songs, but the guitar solos in each of them are wonderful, love them, I play all of them quite often

The only Eagles song I like was "My Man", which was the only Eagles song I ever heard with even a hint of sincerity

"She's Gone" is a classic track, love that

"Rich Girl", "I can;t go for that", "Private Eyes"... these are all funny, cheesy, good pop tracks... I find them enjoyable

The great thing about them getting old is much of the heavily synthesized shit that indentified them in the early 80's is rarely performed. And if it is, the "old man" version is completely different. And just better live.

Honestly "Rich Girl" used to make me wanna puke. But I've got this version of the Ipod as well.

Apparently, that was going to be about a guy that Darryl Hall knew and couldn't stand, but they decided that "Rich Guy" sounded a little bit gay and scrapped it
