My Week With Marilyn

Based on a true story. First of all IMO Michelle Williams do not even look remotely like Marilyn Monroe. She just looks like a bad impersonator. That said, she did a terrific job here and deservedly earned that Oscar nomination. the plot is about this young rich british guy who loves movies so much he accepts to be the assistant to Lawrence Olivier (Kenneth Brannagh in an amusing performance) as he stars and directs a film co-starring Marilyn Monroe. She was a very troubled person and the filming is a nightmare because of her constant fallouts and the strict direction of Olivier. The young guy is naturally infatuated by the blond bombshell and goes gaga everytime she is around him. The movie is not great, but is watchable. Again, good performance by Michelle Williams. 7/10
