All I know is I’m joining Chris Bosh in boycotting the NFL. From this moment on no purchasing of NFL paraphernalia, no attending their games, no watching their games on tv. Hell, I’m not even going to listen to any NFL podcasts.

Mandates don't work because mandates don't work. The Rooney rule is hopeless. It is a thing writ in water..... It obliges a hearing, an interview, and nothing more.

I happen to agree with you, there should be no way anybody can veto the purchase of a club. I cannot agree with the veto of Sean Combs attempt to buy a franchise.

Let Diddy buy a club, then let the chips fall where they will thereafter. Firings, rancour, success, failure, all will follow.

The decision to rule Flores out beforehand was perfectly acceptable. It happens ALL THE TIME. Only 1 guy gets the job. Only 4 or 5 get called to interview.

What's unacceptable is telling others that he'd been ruled out before the interview. Its a dumb process but it's even dumber to not play along until its abolished.

The mandate doesn't achieve anything. It obliges people to consider a candidate of a certain ethnic background. It goes no further. You can easily get around it by not even interviewing the best non-White candidate and then, reasonably, declining to give the job to the ones you did.

Its futile.

What SHOULD happen is that the veto is outlawed. Theres no possible justification for it.

Then you'll get black ownership, and, with it, black successes and black failure and people will see that sometimes you can get fired and fucked over by "ones own" too. It won't be all milk and honey so what the current owners are trying to achieve with their veto is beyond me.

Over here thee is a "fit and proper" owners test. It's horseshit. We've had more unfit and improper owners than I can shake a stock at, ranging from bona fide Dictators to just corrupt bums like Tom Hicks and his pal Gillette. Its horseshit.
