Bulls Beat Writer Says Rose Left Portland's Arena "On Crutches & In a Great Deal of Pain." REEDathetic:
Them boys in chiRaq aint built like us out here in LA. Westbrook. Back sooner and less tentative. Hope it aint acl tho for rose. Thats shitty
Mri tomorrow in la. But joke king is a radio guy with connections. He gets scoops like dan rafael and joe mcdonnell
If this wasnt so sad, it would be fucking hilarious. I hope he is okay. If he tore the ACL, the kid will never be the same.
Torn meniscus for Rose. Glad it's not the ACL but he'll be out for a while. Looks like he'll be shorter than neil by the end of his career.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 1 minute ago As @KC Johnson first reported, Chicago star Derrick Rose has a torn meniscus and will undergo knee surgery, league source confirms to Yahoo. A torn meniscus is better than a torn ligament. But still... Bulls will have a better chance at the lottery.
In terms of production value, Kobe is worth about 15 mil per season, the rest is all about his market value (merchandise, ticket sales, etc.).
This is THE WORST Case Scenario for Derrick Rose...ANOTHER Injury, but Now, it's the SAME Injury Russell Westbrook just Endured AND Returned From, w/NO Ill Effects...INTENSE Amounts of Pressure will Be Placed on Rose to Be Near FULL Strength During Training Camp - 2014...If he ISN'T, Fans/GM's/Media, etc., will ALL Be Very Critical...Rose No Loooooonger has the LUXURY of Coming Back when HE Wants to...For Better or Worse, he'll Be EXPECTED to Comeback as QUICKLY & SEAMLESSLY as Westbrook Did...
Might be a tad premature to call, but fuck it! I'm callin it. Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Brandon Roy, now D-Rose. All primes chopped short by injury. The chances of Rose EVER returning back to the form he had in 2011 are minimal.
Even Rose HIMSELF has to @ Least WONDER if his Career is Heading Down that Same Road...It Ain't Premature to @ Least WONDER if Rose will Wind Up like those Names you Mentioned...
he should come back when he is 100% healthy. not everyone is built the same nor do they heal the same. westbrook's durability is freakish for a guy who plays the way he does.
Rose MILKED his Comeback Last Year, Neil...He was MEDICALLY CLEARED to Play PRIOR to Last Year's All Star Break, yet MILKED the Shit Until Eventually NOT Playing @ All that Season...BECAUSE of Westbrook, THE LAST Thing Derrick Rose Needs to Do is MILK Another Recovery Period...The Moment he's MEDICALLY CLEARED to Play, he Needs to Get his Ass on the Court, Especially when Guys like Westbrook Come Back a MONTH EARLY, w/Barely Any Ill Effects...
No, the longer he rests the better. He didnt milk shit. too many people come back too early. The doctors can say whatever they want, but they are not Derrick Rose. The longer you rest after an injury, the better it heals and the likelihood of it happening again decreases. What rose did was smart. Kobe needs to do the same thing. Take the year off. Heal completely.
That All SOUNDS Good, but in REALITY, Jobs and Money are LOST in Situations like This, Bro...As REED Types, the Bulls Could REALISTICALLY Be Considering TRADING their Current Crop of Players, TANKING the Remainder of the Season (Since they'll Pretty Much SUCK Anyways) & Aiming for a Lottery Pick in 1 of the Better Drafts in Recent Memory...The Bulls are @ the Point where they have to STRONGLY Consider a Future WITHOUT Derrick Rose...So, Yeah, Rose Can PROLONG Rehab & Sit on the Shelf for Months AFTER Being Medically Cleared (AGAIN), but it's NOT Gonna Be Nearly as Accepted by the Organization as it was the 1st Time Around...& REED Didn't even Mention How Adidas Must Feel Right Now...
I disagree Rose milked the ACL injury. I thought the problem was Chicago should have addressed it and put out a statement saying they were shutting him down for the whole season. Instead I have to assume they wanted DR to come back so they left the situation open hoping he would be pressured back. IMO you need to protect your investment and franchise player, and letting him sit out the rest of the season was IMO the way to go. After all an ACL injury which Rose suffered last season is a hell of a lot worse than the MCL injury he now has and that Westbrook suffered through. I do agree if he sits out this whole season he will be milking it for an MCL injury especially since Westbrook didn't take that long to come back. Now if the doctors don't clear him you don't bring him back this season but if they do, then he should come back.
I also wonder if this happened because due to his other knee getting injured he was favoring the right knee more putting more strain on it. This is why Phoneix's training staff is so good. They check a player's whole body and make sure their body is functioning correctly and that they aren't putting unnecessary strain on particular joints, muscles etc. If they see a player's body isn't functioning properly they'll correct it, usually with exercises, rest or what not. I read a cool article on it.
A GERIATRIC, Collective Bust...REED Hates to Say it about a Dallas Area Player, but Deron Wiliams ISN'T the Type of Guy to BUILD a Team Around...He's a # 2 Option @ Best...
Rose goes down, and the Bulls are in instant tank mode. 30+ point blowout to the Clips, and a loss to the Jazz?!?!?!?
Nah, Rose DEFINITELY MILKED It...MILKING & Faking AREN'T the Same Thing, to Be Clear... When the Team Doctor MEDICALLY CLEARS You PRIOR to the All Star Break, yet you FAIL to Play the 2nd Half of the Season OR the Playoffs, that's Called MILKING, Bro...Rose's Issue was MENTAL, but @ the End of the Day, he Got Hurt Again ANYWAYS, Right???... agREED Chicago Brass Made the Situation WORSE by Refusing to SAY Rose was SHELVED for the Entire Season, Last Year...On that Note, it's ALREADY Been Announced Rose will Miss the REMAINDER of THIS Season & REED's Fine w/That...But if Rose is Anything but READY to Play when Training Camp 2014 Rolls Around, he's BULLSHITTING Yet Again... Like REED Said Earlier, the Bulls have to @ Least Be PONDERING the Upcoming Draft & Pawning Off Some of their Current Talent for Draft Picks...Or, do You Run the Risk of Keeping the Team Intact, Thinking (Hoping, PRAYING) Rose is REALLY Healthy Next Season & Can Give them an Adequate Amount of Games Played???... @ BEST, the Bulls will Be an Early Rounds Playoff EXIT This Year...Again...The PLAYERS will Strive for that, but that Does NATHAN for the Bulls Front Office... It's Funny, 4-5 Years Ago, REED Referred to Russell Westbrook as a "Poor Man's Derrick Rose"...But Like Chris Brown Said, "Look @ Me NOW!"... REED:hammert:
the fact that rose got hurt again justifies him not coming back sooner from the previous injury. he was obviously compensating and the result was injury to his other leg.
