    Nah...

You've Got to RIDE the "Mental" Angle ALL the Way Out, Neil....99.999% of the Tiime, REED is STAUNCHLY in Tune w/the ATHLETE'S Perspective, when Dealing w/GM's, Team Owners & their So-Called "Employers", Altogether...

In this Case, Rose was MEDICALLY CLEARED to Play, Damn Near 9 Months PRIOR to When he Actually Did...LITERALLY, a Fucking BABY Could've Been Born in the Time Chicago Bulls Doctor's (Who Obviously AREN'T Trying to Fuck Up Their Investment, Since NBA Salaries are GUARANfuckingTEED) CLEARED Rose/to When Rose Got Around to PLAYING...

If it was a "Mental" Hurdle that PREVENTED Rose from Playing, Even 2-3 Month's AFTER Being Medically Cleared, the SAME "Mental" Hurdle Can Be Cited for him COMPENSATING & Getting Hurt Again...

Can't have it BOTH Ways, Homey:nono:...

Rose's game is somewhat similar to Marbury's. When Stephon was at his peak he was an offensive marvel, able to score from anywhere on the floor, but his game lacked the fundamentals that translates into longevity. Now that we already know he won't have that advantage again, we can expect Rose's production and confidence to decline. The Bulls are better off trading everyone and maybe keep Butler. Oft-injured Noah isn't worth keeping in the long run, Boozer could be kept for expiring contract purposes. It's time to think of the future in this young man's game.

The Lakers front office is now the worst in the NBA. First, you NEVER allow a player of Dwight's caliber to leave for NOTHING. At least get a couple of picks, poor management thinking he would resign "because we are the Lakers." They had to know he wasn't going to resign, it's their job.

Now throwing away the next few years by giving Kobe all that money. Whether he deserves it or not, FO has to do what's best for the FRANCHISE. They were bidding against themselves without even knowing how he would look in an NBA game after the injury. Was any other NBA team going to pay him that? Maybe, a team that Kobe would never sign with. Dumb. When Dr. Buss died, it looks like the Lakers we have known in the past died with him.

Sorry that distinction goes to the New York Knicks. I can't fault what the Lakers did, right now Kobe IS the franchise and if he says he isn't going to take a pay cut what are you going to do, trade him? Please, the fans would fucking revolt and besides they pretty much owe it to Kobe anyway. It's only a 2 year extension and even though it's going to handcuff the franchise it's also going to handcuff Kobe to a maximum of 5 championships. Apparently he's cool with that, so he better not bitch. Now we'll probably watch the last few years of him gunning his way after Kareem's scoring record.

Jim Buss will ruin the Lakers if Mitch Kupchak don't get total control of the FO.

It's Still EARLY in the Collegiate Season, but will the REAL Andrew Wiggins PLEASE Stand Up???...

For the Level of HYPE he's Received, he was Rather NONEXISTENT in Kansas' 4pt LOSS to Villanova, Today...10pts on 3-8shooting, 3boards, a steal and a block...His Overall #'s Aren't BAD, but they're Not "Undisputed # 1 Pick in the Draft" Type of #'s Either...

Here's a breakdown of Some of the Highly Touted College Players, Thus Faaaaar...

    Wiggins - 16.8pts, 5.8reb, 2ast, 1.6stl, .4blk, 56%fg, 70%ft, 35% 3's, (5-1)
    Parker - 23.6pts, 8.7reb, 2.1ast, 1.3stl, 1.7blk, 60%fg, 74%ft, 61% 3's, (6-2)
    Gordon - 12.5, 9.7reb, 1.2ast, .5stl, 1.5blk, 47%fg, 54%ft, 50% 3's (5-0)
    Randle - 19pts, 13.1reb, 1.9ast, 0stl, .7blk, 55%fg, 75%ft, 0% 3's (4-1)

CLEARLY, Randle & Parker have ASSERTED Themselves as the CLASS of the Upcoming Draft Class, Up til Now...Any GM that Would Take Wiggins OVER Randle or Parker, @ this Juncture, is Smoking Crack...Sure, there's Still 20-25+ Games to Be Played, but You'd Like to Think Wiggins Would've Exhibited SOME of this "NEXT LeBron" Level Shit by Now, Wouldn't You???....NOBODY Plays Great EVERY Game, but if a Guy is "The GOODS", You'll SEE that Shit Somewhere in a 6 Game Span, Right???....

More than EVER, Jabari Parker was Reminiscent of Carmelo Anthony in Duke's LOSS to Arizona Tonight, & that WASN'T a Good Thing...19pts on 7-21 shooting, 0-5 from 3, 3boards, 2blks, and assist and a steal. Ignore the Blocks & That's a Typical 'Melo box score, about 50% of the time...

Meanwhile, a Clearly MOTIVATED Marcus Smart, is Having Arguably THE Best Season of ANY College Hooper...22.5pts, 4reb, 3.7ast, 3.5stl, .7blk, 47%fg, 69%ft, 41% 3's, (5-0)...Smart FINALLY Came Back to Earth Friday Afternoon, after Scoring 39, 25 and 30 in Consecutive Games...He had 17pts, 8boards, 3ast, 2stl and a block, in a 2pt Win Over Butler...

As Stated Previously, YEP, REED's Biased for Marcus Smart, Having Seen 15-20 of his High School Games, his Sr. Year...But Having Said that, the Motherfucker is Straight Up BALLIN!!!!!....Regardless WHO'S Biased for Him or Not...

still havent seen smart play so i reserve any comment on him. i like randle if Im a GM. his touch around the rim is impressive in what ive seen. wiggins reminds me of harrison barnes. the guy who was supposed to be a sure fire #1 pick, the next bryant, etc. if either of them had came out of high school they'd have surely been drafted 1. barnes looks like a damn good player to have on your team at this point, though I dont know if he'll ever be the guy. wiggins has that same feel

Haven't heard much noise about PG. It's been more about what the Pacers as a team are doing. Not to say he hasn't been getting props but MVP props? Not from what I've been reading.

Speaking of Paul George shouldn't his number have been 13? PG 13 has a nice ring to it no?

He's a nice guy. PG fits him alright. It's impressive how Bird turned the Pacers into a cohesive unit of talented and humble players after the Malice in the Palace events.

    24.9pts, 5.9boards, 3.4dimes, 2.2stls, .4blks, 48%fg, 84%ft, 41% 3's....

BEST Player on the Team w/the BEST Record...Granted, Roy Hibbert's THE Best Defensive Center in the League & Lance Stephenson's Probably the Most IMPROVED, but PG's The Guy for the Pacers...Also, he's had Arguably THE Best Performance of the Early Season, when he had 43 Against Portland, Albeit in a Losing Effort...

Sure, Bron's Just Going Through the Motions Right Now, Nursing an Injured Back & is Obviously an MVP Candidate EVERY Year...But if Voters are Getting BORED w/Giving him the Award, a Guy like PG Could Benefit...

LaMarcus Aldridge is an Early MVP Candidate as well...

Good point about Aldridge. He's beasting this season and seems motivated. He's a like a Dirk Nowitzki with a better post game but less range.

In order to discourage tanking, somebody suggested a consolation tournament NCAA NIT style for the 14 teams that missed the playoffs. Winner of that tourney wins #1 pick

then you'd have marginal teams tanking to get out of the 8 spot when there are franchise players available in the draft.

Yup, not a smart move. Tanking should be discouraged by preventing a team to win another #1 pick in consecutive years like Cleveland did. Between Lebron, Irving and Bennet they've had 3 #1 picks in the span of 10 years.

Even Still, they'd have to WIN their Way Into Drafting a FRANCHISE Player...Even w/the Heavilly Hyped, Upcoming 2014 Draft, Only Sooooo Many of those Guys are Gonna Be TRUE Franchise Players...

Definitely NOT 14 of them, for Sure...

a borderline playoff team that tanked its way into the "NIT" would have a great chance at beating the rest of the also rans in the bottom third of the league

Yeah, but he's Scored THE FEWEST Amount of Buckets of ANY Guy EVER Taken 1st in the NBA Draft, IN HISTORY, Based on his Current Amount of Games Played...When the Heat Visited Cleveland a Week or So Ago, Dude had Scored like 22pts TOTAL, All Season...

Bennett is On Pace to Make the Hoop World FORGET Kwame Brown....

Even w/his Injury, REED would've EASILY Taken Nerlens Noel OVER Bennett...You Don't REACH w/the # 1 Pick, yet Cleveland Did JUST That...While RE-Hiring Mike Brown AND Signing Bynum to a 2 Year Deal, Simultaneously...

Obviously, the League would have to TWEAK its System to Avoid the System Being POPOVICH'ed, but it's Possible...Making Teams Actually EARN the Top Pick is just a BETTER Idea than what's Currently In Place...
