I completely agree. There's no reason Lebron shouldn't get max dollars. I got into an argument with a guy at work after the $2 billion dollar sale of the Clippers. He argued that the "free market" determined the price of the team which is fair. "HOWEVER" The salary cap and placing limits on rookie salaries and player salary negates the ability of players to get paid their "free market" value...yet he had no issue with it. I don't give a damn how much Lebron makes off the court. He makes that based on his merits on the court. He should have the same opportunity to earn his true worth on the basketball court. Note: I'm no Lebron lover...I'm sure REED would call me a Lebron hater, but fair is fair.
@BrettNBA 3m Kyle Lowry is finalizing an agreement remain a member of the Toronto Raptors, reports @michaelgrange
Lowry just met with Rocket's GM at midnight. Rockets aren't going for just one big addition, but two. I can see what Rocket's GM has up his sleeve, he wants Lowry + Love and it actually is possible, they can easily obtain capspace to sign Lowry outright, and can beat the Warriors offer even if it included Thompson. Rockets will get one or two of the following players: Lowry, Love, Melo.

If what is above is true, it becomes VERY possible the big three are done in Miami. Lowry is either going to stay with Toronto or leave to the Rockets. Right now, he is thinking about both offers and not even considering Lakers and Heat. Once Lowry decides to come to the Rockets, a sign and trade will happen with Lin going to Toronto along with a 2nd round pick or something like that. Then Rockets will turn their attention to Melo or Love. One note about Lebron, Houston is the only team with a meeting setup with Lebron's agent, I'm not sure if that means anything at all. I doubt it, but that's interesting. <script async="" src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" style="display: none;"></iframe>
With the Warriors signing of Livingston, they become "Hard Capped." They cannot take in one cent more than they send out now on any transaction this year.
He has good reason to be, I had a feeling Bosh wasn't going to take a paycut of any significance, he was the last to opt out, and has the most to lose and makes the least amount in endorsements. Big 3 might be done and would Gasol keep them together? Would Gasol even take what Riley has to offer? It's going to be an interesting few weeks!
anthony and monroe. i think theyve already agreed to some deal with wade and bosh but miami fans have got to realize the guy is done. if he walked and they ended up getting anthony and winning 2 more rings i think fans would get over wades departure.
Winning does fix pretty much anything, Monroe is intriguing. I think you and Godfather is right, Riley's job get MUCH easier if Wade walks and it's his own decision.
No I don't think it would be a PR nightmare. Maybe in a real NBA city, but with Miami's leave early-show up late-fair-weather sorry-ass fans, they probably wouldn't give a fuck. Hell, if Lebron left, those motherfuckers would probably just sigh and say "well, I'm going to the beach."
Heat, Spurs interested in Gasol. http://www.si.com/nba/2014/07/01/pau-gasol-lakers-heat-spurs-free-agent
Lance Stephenson declines 5 yrs 44m offer from the Pacers. He's good as gone, Bird won't go over the cap.
