But DA RULEZ. You must be one of those children that has enough gall to glorify an era you know nothing about...as usual. Cousy was ridiculously ahead of his time and inspired Maravich and Monroe who further innovated and changed the game forever. Only problem with Cousy was he was very small, didn't shoot that well and couldn't jump very high.
Joe Hammond once shot from full court went to McDonalds and ate a cheeseburger before coming back to slam dunk the ball before it came down.
OKC's WORKING the Clippers by Damn Near 20, but Nonetheless, DeAndre Jordan SHITTED on Serge Ibaka, from the Right Block... REEDopcorn:

WOW!!!... Westbrook w/a SICK Put Back Dunk, to Put OKC Up 4 on the Clippers... REED's Said it Million Times, but he CONTINUES to Be AWED by How HARD Westbrook Plays & the FACT that he REFUSES to Allow Injuries to DETER or DETRACT From his Game...PG's Coming Off their 3rd Knee Surgery SHOULDN'T Be Elevating Off of 2 Feet, THROWING DOWN an Offensive Rebound... It's Almost COMICAL REED 1nce Referred to Westbrook as a "Poor Man's Derrick Rose"... REEDopcorn:
White Chocolate's Shine was BRIEF & Mike Bibby Ended Up Being a BETTER Fit for the Sacramento Kings, but his Time There was UNFORGETTABLE... REED had Never Seen the Elbow Pass Before OR Since White Chocolate Did it... REED:cheer:
Are you kidding? This is common knowledge for anyone who's spent any time watching old/classic games. Google it. I don't have a "history of the NBA rules and enforcement" guide That was when he was IN HIGH SCHOOL. Aside from that Mark Henry (like most powerlifters) was far more focused on squatting than he was on benching. Yet the same source you just cited has his personal record at 600 lb unequipped.. Again, there are credible eyewitnesses to Wilt benching 465 at the age of 59 Here's a link to the transcript of the interview I mentioned http://wiltfan.tripod.com/chat.htm If you think it's out of the question for a 300+ lb (all lean mass) former shotputter to bench 450-500 then you're deluded The difference between Wilt & the Goat is Wilt actually was a successful and dominant NBA player. This is as asinine as comparing Roberto Duran to Tony Ayala Jr.
Right. Because you are making shit up and the rule didn't exist.. Stop talking. Oh man. Anecdotal evidence! You sure got me! Please tell me why Wilt wasn't winning national meets with his unheard of bench press for 1960 that would have put him in the top 5 all time ....oh probably because he couldn't prove it to anyone but delusional old men. Or he did the lift with straps which means absolutely nothing.
At this point, it's looking like Okc are the favorites to win it all. IF Westbrook can play at a high level in the PO's, and Durant can maintain the same level he's played at all year, then Okc will win it all. The Heat have peaked. Wade's a shell of his past self, and even Lebron has probably peaked.
This is getting funnier & funnier. Because the rule technically still exists, it just isn't enforced anymore. Ask anyone who was actually around in the 60s. Or see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrying_(basketball) Players can avoid a carrying violation by keeping their palms facing the floor while dribbling. In the 60s, guys would get called for this for a crossover. Straps for a bench press? :atu: You have no idea wtf you're talking about. From the way you talk about basketball and weightlifting, it doesn't sound like you've ever seen the inside of any part of a gym.
Bron has Definitely Peaked...He's Still in his PRIME & Will Continue to Be for Another 2-3 Seasons, but he HAS Peaked, as You Stated... Honestly, Aside from the WEATHER & SOUTH BEACH, REED Doesn't See the Incentive for Bron REMAINING w/the Heat, After this Season...There's No Obvious BASKETBALL Reason for Bron to Stay...Just like he was in Cleveland, Bron is Now in he Position of Having to Put Up HUGE #'s to Support an INFERIOR Roster...DWade is an Oft Injured ROLE PLAYER who will Continue to Miss More & MORE Games, as his Career Progresses... REED Thinks Bron Should Get w/a YOUNG, UPCOMING Star...Someone who can LEAD the Team in Scoring, as Bron Turns 30 Next Year...Kyrie Irving would Be PERFECT, if Bron Can Convince him to Remain in Cleveland...If the Prodigal Son RETURNED to Cleveland & WON a Championship There, it'd Be an Incredible Story & Would Actually ENHANCE Bron's Legacy... REED:hammert:
Yes everyone is aware of what a carry is. Now again, cite where it says the crossover was disallowed because of carrying in the 60s? Again, I'll wait. :atu: This clown thinks Wilt was top 5 in the world in raw bench and claims someone else doesn't know what they are talking about. :atu: People use and elbow wraps and add 50-100 pounds on their bench press. You're a tool.
KD is already a shoe-in for regular season MVP. IF he can lead OKC to a title, and in the process wins Finals MVP, and maintains a high level, then it could go down as the best season for any player POST-Jordan. But, that's ASSUMING KD leads them to a ring.
What does this look like to you loadeddud? A carry huh? Oscar also used the inside out dribble on occasion. But don't let the facts get in the way of some good uncited anecdotal "evidence". It would totally hurt your ridiculous premise that 60s basketball players were just as good as modern ones despite 50 years of development and millions more dedicated athletes to choose from.
DWade has Played 51 of 78 Miami Games this Season...It's Doubtful he'll MATCH that # of Games in ANY Season, for the Remainder of his Career... Like Bron, DWade's Contract is ALSO Up, After this Season...There'll Be ZERO Interest from Other Teams & Miami Will Undoubtedly Offer a CEREMONIAL Re-Up, but to WHAT Extent???...If REED were Calling the Shots, Wade would Get a KOBEish Deal...2 Years MAX, for Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay LESS than What Kobe's Getting... If Kobe's Getting 20mil a Season for the Next 2, Wade Should Expect NO MORE than 10-15 for those Same 2, If That... REED:loser:
He Really Has... Dude is Only 32, which ISN'T a Rocking Chair NBA Age @ All...It's NOT like Wade's a 32 Year Old who Came Straight Out of High School Either, he Played 3 Years of College Ball...Dude CAN'T Even Sprint After a Defender or a Loose Ball, w/Out Pulling/Straining/Tweaking Something...To Paraphrase O.D.B., DWade is "Fragile as Eggs"... REED:hammert:
Wades decline is typical of other stars who suffered injuries. Only difference was his injuries haven't been as catastrophic as grant hill or anfernee Hardaway so his decline has been more gradual
Lets remember though Dwade in his prime was never the healthiest guy either. Even after he won his first ring Wade had a couple seasons were he missed a significant amount of games. Infact, has Wade ever played a full 82 games ever? I don't think so. His fast decline was pretty much a given seeing his overall health for basically his entire of his career. With all that said he is arguably the 4th or 5th greatest shooting guard ever IMO. His numbers for an undersized shooting guard are incrediable.
Bron can't be jumping from team to team. That would hurt his legacy and label him as a ship jumper. I don't think there's a better situation for him right now. Pat Riley will make sure he always has a championship caliber team around him. Kyrie is way too inconsistent to be a scoring leader.
I doubt Lebron ever goes back to Cleveland. The Cavs are a mess of an organization and everyone knows it. Nobody wants to play there unless they are force to, and that won't change with Bron going back. Also believe it or not I think Lebron wants that max deal. Even though he doesn't need it with his endorsments I believe this time around he's gonna wanna get paid. He took less money to come too Miami, and now he's gonna wanna get paid knowing it's his last big deal. Also, Lebron trusts Pat Riley and knows Miami is a popular destenation for free agents in the future. If the Heat 3 peat then he stays for sure. If not maybe he seeks an exit plan, but IMO I doubt it.
Nope... Having Said that, he's Played 75 or MORE Games in 5 of 11 Seasons...DWade's SHOT BLOCKING #'s were Particularly ASTOUNDING for a 2-Guard...He's ARGUABLY the 3rd Best 2-Guard Ever, in REED's Opinion... REED:hammert:
Going BACK to Cleveland Wouldn't Hurt Bron's Legacy @ All...It's HOME, it's Where his Career STARTED & he'd Be Righting Those that Felt "Wronged" when he Took his Talents to South Beach... Who EXACTLY is Pat Riley Gonna Get???...Remember, Bosh AND Wade Need to Be Re-Upped as Well...& as DECREPIT as his Body is, Wade WON'T Come Cheap, Given All he's Done for the Heat...Pat Riley IS a Mastermind, but REED Doesn't See ANYBODY on the Horizon to Acquire, that's Good Enough to Convince Bron to Stay... Bron DOES NOT Want to Carry the Scoring Load as Much as he HAS to in Miami...w/Bron in the Fold, Kyrie Irving is EASILY la Top 5 Scorer in the League, in REED's Opinion... REED:hammert:
