Your're absolutely right Reed. He posses the tools to be at least an adequate defender and in OKC he was. Harden has ASTHMA. He doesn't like to talk about it, even says if asked he will state "I grew out of it" but that's not the case. He will NEVER be an elite two way player, he physically can't. If he's the #1 option on offense, he's not going to have much left for defense. He can turn it on for a few plays late in games, I've seen it many times. But he couldn't be a Beverly type player for even a quarter, he's not physically able to do so. His request to be sixth man in OKC wasn't just because he was the great teamate and would sacrifice a starting spot, he was struggling with stamina as he was playing D. For him to be the offensive player he is and to ask him to play harder on D, he would have to be a sixth man. He may get even better on offense as his career progresses, he's still only 24 yrs old, but unless the Rockets or any other team tell him not to worry about offense and just focus on D, his D will be what it is for the remainder of his career.
Correct again, and even if they get past ATL, they aren't winning shit this year. Changes will ensue no matter what, I wrote a short summary earlier this year about their cap situation. They will be worse next year if no very good moves are made, and given their cap situation, that's going to be very difficult.
