Nets vs Heat tonight. It's either gonna be competitive or a blowout win for the Heat. I don't expect Brooklyn to roll over them like the preseason games.
GREAT Analogy by Paul Pierce, Saying Winning a Championship Made him Feel like a "Kid w/his Favorite Toy" & the Heat Representing the "Guy Down the Street who TOOK it from You"... REED:Thumb:
Nets are deep as fuck. Their second unit is livingston, terry, kirilenko, evans and blatche, very solid players
As expected, Brooklyn won by one. Miami closed a 10 pts lead in the final minutes but Pierce and his Nets prevailed. Nets did something very simple to disrupt the Heat's offense. Don't give them too many open 3's. Make them drive or post up to get their points and control the boards. Miami kills any team easily when Bron starts hitting up those kick out passes and everybody makes them. It sets their whole offensive machinery in motion and it's impossible to stop them afterwards. When you slow down the game like the Nets did (and not surprisingly Boston used to do as well) you have a better chance to beat them. It's worth mentioning that Bron played scared, like if he had Cavs-Celtics games flashbacks or something.
Lin went head to head with one of the guys you mentioned, Calderon. Lin 14/4/3/3 and Calderon 0/6/1 shooting 0-8. I'm no Lin fan at ALL. But he isn't a scrub and is a very capable average starting PG. Rockets looking good so far, Dwight with 26 then 16 rebounds, Asik chipping in with a measly 14 and 12. Controlling, actually dominating the boards will be big in the playoffs. Rebounds a meaningless stat? :scratcher:
Dwight is trying hard to erase his rep he received in LA. But it's all bullshit. He will try for a little while and then expect the world to revolve around him again.
I just don't see that happening. Not with Dream whispering in his ear, not while he's in the best possible situation he could be in, not while his last big contract which is now less than 3 years away on the horizon. But even if he does, the Rockets whom have the best GM in the NBA will see the writing on the wall and ship his ass off for something of value, this isn't the inept Laker's front office we are talking about here. Harden is 24, Dwight acts a fool, not a problem.
didnt see the game, not bad numbers for lin. was beverly hurt? i see you failed to mention the six turnovers by lin as well
Howard seems happy in Houston. He's getting the attention he asked for in LA and his new teammates are not going to put any pressure on him like Kobe did. Howard is mentally weak but Houston can provide him with the perfect surrounding to keep him motivated and cheerful. I think he has no problem with Harden being the leading scorer IMO.
Yeah Bev is hurt, I didn't really need to mention the six turnovers since he took a huge :shit: one of the players you would take over him. :giggle: Tonight Lin had 20/4/3 with 3 turnovers, the opposing starter was scoreless again, but didn't play much. Lin is an average starting PG, that's all I'm saying. If he comes off the bench, it's only because it's a better fit with a ball dominant Harden.
Nah, they're NOT "Legit"... DWade Didn't Play that Game for the Heat & Rose is STILL Finding his Way...If the Season was 25-30 Games Deeeeeeeeeeep & Philly Beat the Bulls & Heat, that'd Carry MORE Weight than Beating them @ the BEGINNING of the Season, in REED's Opinion... REED:mj:
still dont see him as average. calderon had an off game or maybe he fell off. up until last year he was a skilled guy who plays zero defense. but passing and shooting wise he was much better than lin. not a fan of calderon either, and i dont consider him among the top 16 PGs
they didnt extend turner and will look to deal him or let him walk, according to turner himself, who claims hinkie has no love for him. their tank has yet to reach its full potential
I believe he will get a deal at the end of the year. He's looking much better as a SF with the new offense. It's really hard to look good with an utterly inept coach like Doug Collins....and he was playing at SG which isn't as good for him.
Is this your first NBA season? Who judges any team based off the first week of basketball? Check out last season's heat opener and tell me what you learned.
I'm not sure what an average PG is to you, to me, he's just about the perfect definition of an average starting PG as you can get. 13 & 6 plus 1.5 steals while under 3 turnovers a game. Seems VERY average to me. He's not going to put up more than 15 ppg and 6 assists while on the Rockets roster as long as Harden is on it. After the all star break last season, that's exactly what he averaged only because he shot a better % not because of more attempts.
