Exactly 9 points were scored on Bev, and Lillard had to shoot 2 40 ft three pointers to get 6 of them. Blazers are setting screens like a mofo to get Bev off of Lillard, I wonder why?

Only one game so far this series, has Beverley been on Lillard for 90% of the game and he shot 3-14.

You can't just look at the points he scored, that very simple minded. Harden has played like dogshit this series and is averaging 27.5ppg. Does that mean the Blazers aren't defending him well? No. It because Matthews has been up in his grill constantly and if he is screened off, Batum is on him. Defense has been top notch on Harden. But since he's averaging 27.5 he's playing great right?

Anyways, you are right about the series being VERY close and even if the Rockets were to pull off a miracle, they wouldn't have anything left.

If a team were to come back from being down 3-1, it would be in this series. I wouldn't put my money on it however.

I almost don't want the Rockets to win another game, I want McHale outta here asap.

Dwight has been playing like Orlando Dwight, I'm very impressed with how he's played this series.

They can, but won't IMO, they haven't given me any reason to believe they can turn things around. And you're right, they won't get past Washington anyhow.

    Let it Go, Dog...

Patrick Beverley IS NOT Impacting Damian Lillard's Game...PERIOD...They're ON the Court SIMULTANEOUSLY for the Vast Majority of the Time...If Beverley is INCAPABLE of Going Over or Under Screens (Like Every Other So-Called "Great" Defender Does), then he's Clearly NOT the Guy You or CWebb Thinks he Is...

EVERY Point Guard has Screens Set for them, CP3, Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Steph Curry, You Name It...GREAT Defenders Still Manage to STAY on their Man, More Times than Not...

Damian Lillard is Having a GOOD Series, He's WINNING Whatever Individual Matchup YOU'VE Created btwn Him & Beverley, his Team is UP 3-1 & Patrick Beverley is a Fucking AFTERTHOUGHT...

    Let it Go...

Me, CWebb and the people who gave him votes for defensive player of the year. :FU!:

I don't see them setting screens when Lin or anyone one else is checking him, it's one on one at that point. Obviously, he knows, the Blazers know, that it would be in Lillard's best interest for someone else to guard him other than Beverley.

Lillard is the afterthought, last night, 5 players had more points than him and he played 47 minutes. All the chatter about the series, no one is "worried" about Lillard in Houston, trust me. His team is up 3-1 because of Aldridge and Mathews and Batum's D on Harden. Not because of Lillard's mediocre 43% shooting for the series.

I'll let it go as soon as you do punk! Deal?

Even if the Pacers get by the Hawks (which they may not), it seems doubtful they'll get by the Wizards.

What an epic fail of a team.

Indeed. I've never seen such a talented team with such a weak collective mindset. It's like they're all depressed.

He might be right. The kind of protest displayed by the players has been kind of passive and the other teams failed to join together and really do something about it. Imagine if all the playoffs teams refused to play for just one night. Silver would have no choice but to act quickly and get rid of Sterling one way or the other. It's the same in modern society. Since the end of the rights movement we've stopped putting our lives on the line when it comes to protesting and fighting for our rights. Now we just employ passive methods of protest that minimizes the chances of violence or harm. No wonder we've become such a weak society when we're entertained with movies, games, phones and other shit that serves as escapist tools.

They need a more talented scorer. For all the shit people talk about Melo, he'd be PERFECT on the Pacers. Paul George at SG, with Melo as their SF. Melo would take ALLL the scoring pressure off of PG, who's not that good of a scorer. And Stevenson is a fuckin knucklehead loser in the mold of JR Smith.

Well duhhh! Lebron would make ANY team a contender. Who the Hell is even debating between Lebron and Melo though?

My point is, for all the shit Melo gets, he's one of the best pure scorers the league has ever had. PG can't carry a scoring load. Surrounded by the talent Indy has, Melo would really shine, and it would make the entire team better.

REED's Often Made Light Hearted Remarks about Your Houston Rocket Fandom, but He's SERIOUSLY Starting to Wonder if You're 1 of their Scantily Clad Females DANCERS or 1 of the Half Shirted Fat Guys the Crowd Loves...

Anyways, Who Gives a Shit How Many VOTES Patrick Beverley Got???...Marc Gasol Got the "Defensive Player of the Year" AWARD Last Season & WASN'T Even the Best Defensive Guy on his Own Team...

YOU Continue to SELL Beverley on his Defensive Prowess & that's Simply NOT Apparent in the Houston-Portland Series, Homey...

Are You Familiar w/the CONCEPT of Screens???...It's NOT Solely a Means of Freeing Yourself from a Particular Defender, it's a Way to REST the Predominant Ballhandler on your Team...If Lin is On Lillard, a Screen ISN'T Necessary Because Lillard Can Literally BLOW Right By Lin, When he WANTS To...

REED's NEVER Denied Beverley is a GOOD Defender...He's NOT a Guy that's Gonna Get BLOWN By Often, if @ All...To Get By Beverley a Good Ballhandler Resorts to MOVES, but when you're the PRIMARY Ballhandler of your Squad, Constantly Having to Utilize 3-4 Moves, just to Get your Offense Set Up, Leads to FATIGUE & FEWER Court Time...

THAT's Why Screens are Being Used on Beverley...

That's Another Reason Why Screens are Used by EVERY Premier Ballhandler in the League...You Think Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving & Other ELITE PG's Don't Use Screens???..Or Do You HONESTLY Think they Use Screens as Some Kind of SILENT Admission that they CAN'T Get By a Particular Defender???:scared:...

James Harden Uses Screens AS MUCH as Any Player in the League...Are You Telling REED that's Because Houston LACKS Trust in Harden's Ability to Get WHERE He WANTS to Get on the Court???...

So Lillard's an Afterthought, Huh???...He Averaged 20.7 During the Season, but is Putting Up 25.5 for the Series...You Cited his "Mediocre" 43% Shooting This Series???...That's Actually HIGHER than his Regular Season AND Career %...5.6 Dimes for the Season, 7.5 for the Series...Again...

    20.7pts, 5.6dimes, 42%fg - 2013-14 Regular Season
    25.5pts, 7.5dimes, 43%fg - 2013-14 Playoffs

w/Out Question, Damian Lillard has RAISED his Game in the Playoffs...Against YOUR Squad, Against YOUR Favorite Defender, Lillard is SCORING More Points, RUNNING His Squad, Getting MORE Assists & SHOOTING @ a HIGHER % than he Did During the Season...If Lillard Really Is an Afterthought, if No One in Houston is "Worried" about Lillard, that EXPLAINS Why Ya'll are DOWN 3-1 Right Now:clapagain:...

When Lillard Drops 30+, it's Cause Beverley WASN'T On Him???...When he Has Other 20+ Point Games, it's A Result of SCREENS???...Lillard has Literally RAISED his Stats, Since the Regular Season, w/YOUR Boy Guarding Him...Your Boy is AVERAGING Damn Near 5 Fouls PER Game, Fucking w/Lillard, & Even FOULED OUT Of Game 1...Damn Near Did in Game 2, as Well...

How Many Times has Beverley RIPPED Lillard???...How Come Beverley CAN'T Roll UNDER or OVER Screens, like ALL Great Perimeter Defenders Do/Did???...You Think Gary Payton Didn't Deal w/Screens???...Bruce Bowen???...Kobe Bryant???...

The Tape DOESN'T Lie, the #'s DON'T Support You AND Your Squad is DOWN 3-1...Patrick Beverley IS NOT Deterring or Having a NEGATIVE Impact on Damian Lillard, in the LEAST...If Beverley's Job was to CONTAIN or STOP Lillard, he's FAILING...

    MISERABLY...

    Let It Go...

Beverly is shit. Damian Lillard is one of the best guards in the league. End of conversation.
