Kobe do care about winning, but since he knows his team sucks and they stand no chance, he's perfectly happy with working on padding his scoring stats to pass MJ. "If I don't get 6 rings like Him, I will break his scoring record". That's what's really on his mind.

The only problem is LeBron has been spotty at best. I think they need to trade Waiters and get a defensive minded 2 guard. There's only so may shots and you know Waiters wants to get his in. Kyrie and Love aren't defensive stoppers so they need a starter to handle that for them.

Bosh playing better than Love, and I didnt say lebron is a bad teammate, I said he hurt bosh game, I didnt say he hurts eveyones game, dude does make it easier for certain types of players, fact are facts though, bosh was a star before he played with lebron and appears to be one now.

Again, we're Barely into the Beginning of the Season...It's Best NOT to Get Tooooo Excited Until the 20 Game Mark, or So...

Bosh Playing "Better" than Love is Debateable. What Isn't is The FACT Cleveland's Played BETTER Teams than Miami Has, Thus Faaaaar. Houston's the Only Good Team Miami has Faced and they LOST by Double Digits.

Bron Hasn't had a Negative Impact on Love Whatsoever. Kevin Love is Still Playing like Kevin Love...And like Neil Pointed Out, Bosh Seems to be the Same Perimeter Oriented, Pseudo Stretch 4 that he was when Bron was There. Bosh is Rebounding Better, but Let's not Pretend Bron Prevented Bosh from Crashing the Boards.

Kevin Love is getting exposed this year to be quite honest.

Though it is hard to expose a player who never won anything to begin with

Love is a stat padder who is utterly useless on defense

His overrated get his own rebound and steal easy rebounds from teammates BS has done nothing for Cleveland's rebound differential differential(nor for the Wolves)

I've seen Love get rebounds taken from him multiple times, Favors sonned him last night

Also not only is Love a bad 1 on 1 defender that's frequently been hidden by Blatt, he has concrete feet defending pick and roll.

I don't know who couldn't have seen this coming, you put two of the most overrated players in modern time with an aging LeBron and expect them to win a title.

    Ha.

Pop up to his Old, Lame Tricks, DNP'ing Duncan and Ginobili Tonight...

Given the Collective Age of the Spurs, REED Understands Guys Need to Be Preserved for the Playoffs, but NOT for Nationally Televised Games...The League is Going Out if its Way to Showcase the Spurs More, and Pop Pulls this Shit???...

    Hopefully he Gets Fined...AGAIN...

Pop has all the right to do that. It's a back to back and a meaningless regular season game. Fresh legs for the vets.

Why Not Rest Them LAST NIGHT, in a Meaningless Game vs. Atlanta, Instead of Electing to Do So for a NATIONALLY TELEVISED Game, vs. a BETTER Team, the Following Day???....

REED's Only Problem w/Pops' Tactics is When he Pulls this Shit During NATIONALLY TELEVISED Games...Spurs Players & Fans Looooooove to Bitch about How Much Publicity they DON'T Get, yet their Head Coach HABITUALLY Sits Marquee Guys During HIGHLY Advertised Games...Can't Have it BOTH Ways...

Again, Pick the LOCALLY Televised Game vs. a Non-Descript Squad Instead...

& the League has Even MORE of a Right to FINE Pops' Sorry Ass for INTENTIONALLY Sacrificing a T.V. Game, Willfully Placing an INFERIOR Product on an NBA Court Before a National Audience, when he Could have EASILY Rested Guys the Previous Night...

Why sit the players out vs atL and risk losing twice to appease the league or tnt? I see no logic in that

In other news this Greek kid Houston picked up is a player

If "Risk" is THAT Big a Concern, Why Play your Players @ All In the Regular Season???...Just Rotate Duncan, Parker & Ginobili On & Off the Injured Reserve List, All Season...

Why BACK AWAY from the Challenge of Playing the Undefeated Houston Rockets, on T.V.???...It Makes NO Sense to Play the LESSER Opponent, then Tap Out When the NATION is Watching...

it was proven last year that his strategy made PERFECT sense. he won a title with an older team. and his 3 main old guys were relatively healthy at the end.

why would you sit out old ass duncan and ginobili in a winnable game vs atlanta, to go into a tough game on the road, with the rest of your squad tired on a back to back? even with a full squad the spurs were likely underdogs. your logic is completely flawed.

he wants to win as many games as possible while resting the older and/or nicked up players whenever possible. clearly we saw last year popovich's plan was to pick and choose tough games vs elite teams to rest the guys. i dont think he gave a fuck about whether it was a televised game or not.

For the 50th Time, REED's Only Problem is WHEN Popovich Chooses to REST his Guys...

When Faced w/a Back to Back, 1 of them Nationally Televised, vs. a Top Tier Opponent, THAT's The Game you Play, Period...The Spurs will Win 55+ Games REGARDLESS & Houston's a Team They Could Bump Heads w/in the Playoffs...From a COMPETITIVE POV & From the Standpoint of Doing what's Best for the Greater Good of the League, you REST the Atlanta Game & PLAY the T.V. Game vs. Houston...

If the Houston Game WASN'T Shown Nationally, REED Wouldn't Even Sweat It, But This???...It'd Be like the NFL Featuring Manning vs. Brady, Only for Belicheck to SIT Brady just Because...You'd Probably Be FINE w/That Though, just like You Are w/Floyd DUCKING Pacquiao & Clowney MILKING Injuries...

AGAIN, if Pop's THAT Concerned w/his Guys Making it to the Post Season, Simply Rotate Them On & Off the IR, Instead of Making a Fucking MOCKERY of Televised Games, Barely a WEEK into the Season...

Rest Assured, the NBA WILL Fine Pop...AGAIN...& Rightfully So...

i dont see why who TNT chooses to televise should dictate coaching strategies to popovich. NFL comparison is not even applicable since the season is so short.

teams rest their guys in televised games all the fucking time anyhow at the end of the season when home field is clinched or the game doesnt matter in determining their playoff position. big deal.

the only concern popovich should have is doing what is best for HIS teams chances to win another title. if he has to take some bullshit fine then he's obviously ok with it. the greater good of the league and competitiveness are not things that should matter to him.

Bron's first season in Miami didn't start smoothly either...they managed to make the finals. Cleveland will get it together.

I still say they need to find a trade for Waiters and get a defensively minded shooting guard in his spot. There's not enough shots for all those guys. Also, it will be interesting to see how the personalities fit together. Miami was different because Bron, Bosh and Wade came into the league the same year and Wade was already a champion. Irving is still trying to build his rep and I'm not so certain he'd easily take a backseat like Wade did to LeBron. I doubt Bron and Irving will hold joint press conferences.

Also, with Irving being so much younger Bron runs the risk of having Irving tune him out if he gets too deep into the "veteran advice" Bron has. Don't forget, when Irving first came into the league he rebuffed Bron's attempts to mentor him because he wanted to go his own way. Also, with Bron bringing in his guys (Miller and Jones) it's possible Bron's influence can or will irk Irving. That's a guess on my end but it's certainly possible. I think back to Irving at Duke and how Duke played well without him and once he came back for the tourney he ruined their chemistry and DOOK was eliminated...despite Irving having good scoring games.

I'm not as concerned about Love because he's not asked to do the same things Bosh had to in Miami. Varejo and Thompson are much better than the bigs Bosh had. I think this is solely about Kyrie and getting him to buy in. You can't have a PG scoring 34 with no assists.
