What is it with Scott Brooks that he feels he always has to have a net negative player starting to make sure we're playing at a disadvantage either 3 on 5 or 4 on 5. Roberson should not be fucking starting. He's supposed to be our best 1on1 defender but I haven't seen where he is any better than other guy's on the team. Plus he's just an average shooter who too often passes up open looks because he has no confidence in his shot and he's a mediocre finisher who often get's his layup blocked by a guy not even jumping. On top of that the moron just took Westbrook out of an MVP conversation he was barely in to begin with.

I think it's going to be harder for him to keep the triple doubles up now that the media started making a big deal about it. Not only will it be in his head now, which might mess up his game as he'll be thinking about it too much, but opponents might actually double him and key in on preventing his effectiveness. I think Russ has an argument for MVP but I don't think it's realistic that he's a serious candidate. Steph and Harden have both been more consistent, healthy and their teams have won a lot more. I believe the health thing is his biggest blow to keeping him out of serious contention.

Some guys don't handle that kind of pressure well, and it also doesn't allow them to see the floor as well. It seems like it should be easy to hit the open man if you're double teamed but watching the games you can tell it's easier said then done. I don't think Westbrook would be as effective getting double teamed as say, Steph Curry. I know he has been consistently good. My main point was good health kind of factors into the MVP conversation. Harden and Curry have shown more consistently good health then Westbrook has and kind of like getting all-star consideration from coaches and media, health plays a part in that and I think he's missed too much time to be fairly considered against those two. As much as I'd love Westbrook to win MVP, even I don't think he is in serious contention this season and I feel the same way about Lebron James. IMO it just wouldn't be fair for either of them to win it over Harden and Curry.
Assuming they make the playoffs. It's a damn shame either OKC or New Orleans could be on the sidelines for the playoffs. Even with the high level Westbrook has played it didn't equate to wins all around. There's only so many shots in a game and when you've got a shit coach and other talented players I don't believe how Westbrook is currently playing advances OKC if they make the playoffs. It's not like OKC has the talent the Laker's had when Kobe was playing with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown. Ibaka is legit. Waiters is a good player off the bench. They have other options.

Kanter ain't Perkins. He ain't the kind of guy who you say "whatever scoring he brings is gravy". From what I've seen the guy has an even better more efficient post game then Adams does and I actually think Kanter needs to be the starter. Only problem Kanter has is he's not very athletic so he seems to get less rebounds then you would like from your center. I'm still flabbergasted by the Robinson is a starter thing. I mean he just gets penciled in there after having done fuck all to earn it. Same with Singler who just joins the team and gets starting nods over Jones and Morrow. Meanwhile Jones was the one who got us 2 wins when Westbrook and Durant were out but instead of Brooks trying to develop that, Jones gets put right back on the shelf.

Westbrook needs to take OKC deep into the playoffs to get the MVP. Otherwise Harden or Curry would get the nod. IMO Lebron is the MVP. Compare the Cavs' record to last year's record and there's more than proof. No, Kevin Love has nothing to do with that.
