People can say what they want about Barnes, but I read an article about his upbringing on Grantland.com. Dude went through a lot and was brought up fighting and standing up for his family and friends since he was a kid. He ain't no phony about fighting and him always standing up for his teammates is just how he was raised. Besides he wasn't afraid to go after Ibaka, so I don't think it's a convenience thing. Hell, part of his role is NBA enforcer so that has a lot to do with him getting into beefs all the time.

Not to defend Barnes, and I agree with REED that he's a fake tough guy. BUT, when someone is fucking your wife, ESPECIALLY if it's a guy you were previously friends with, it'll make you do some pretty crazy shit. So I suspect in this situation, Barnes would have confronted the dude regardless of who it was. Men will step outta their character when it comes to someone bangin their broad.
