No way Brother REED. Kobe played in a much softer league than MJ did. MJ was the better scorer but not by much...

Kobe had the skill and mental toughness to be an offensive beast in any era though.

I do question how effective Harden would be in the 90s, or even in the early 00s.

Spurs lose their first road game, falling to the Bulls despite a bad Jimmy Buckets game

Makes sense regarding Westbrook. He's gonna go a million MPh at all times so obviously he'll be more effective in transition when less guys are in the paint and the defense isn't set up

Why the hell would Memphis pay Mike Conley the richest contract in history when they just thrashed the Dubs without him

Memphis is NOT a Better Team, Sans Mike Conley...Shit Happens in the NBA...

Last Year, the Clippers Played VERY Well in Blake Griffin's Absence, but they WEREN'T Truly Better Either...

It is kinda ironic though that the biggest contract in NBA history went to a "just" a solid player.

Always been a fan of Conley's game, but dude has never been a superstar. Very solid, but never elite. He's always been a poor man's Chris Paul.

Check out this cool video that does a scientific break down on how and why Derrick Rose kept getting injured.

It's all timing. Only reason why he's got the biggest contract right now. All the other "stars" are waiting for the salary cap to go through the roof before they sign their long term contracts or decide on their opt-outs.

He wouldn't be though, because Harden is a PG now, remember how you thought that was so funny? Now that he's been leading the league in assists all year, is it still? :stir:

I don't give a fuuuuuuuuuck what he's leading the league in. He's hot garbage and he's everything that sucks about modern basketball.

I understand you have to root for him, but I sure as fuck don't.

Alrighty, just letting you know now that unless OKC gets WB some help, Harden will be MVP this year. MVP. M.....V.....P. Get used to saying that when you address Mr. Harden :cheer:

Harden can play. He's a talent. I understand the hate he gets, somewhat.
But the guy makes team mates better

Harden's CONVENIENTLY Good...OFFENSIVELY, he's Among THE Best Players in the League...Easily...

Problem Is, There's ANOTHER Side of the Court, and Harden's Completely DISinterested in Applying his Talents on that End...It's NOT Even About Being a Good/Bad Defender, it's about Being Willing to Give EFFORT on Defense...

NO Elite Player Gave Away More UNfuckingCONTESTED Baskets than James Harden Did, in 2015-16...INEXCUSABLE, Honestly...And that's Precisely Why he was Left Off the All-NBA Teams Last Year...That's Precisely Why he Gets the "Hate" he Does...

As of this moment, Harden is the MVP front runner. Please don't underestimate how heavily team record goes into MVP voting. The Rockets have a better record than the Thunder, and will finish with a better record. If Harden keeps up his level of play, and Houston finishes a top 3 seed, he'll get MVP over Russ.

I don't AGREE with that, but it's the way the MVP goes.

TRUST ME, I'm rooting for Russ to get it. I like him, and I can't stand Harden. But at this point, it's kind of Harden's award to lose.

Fuck Harden. I'd rather see Westbrook clunk 6 3-pointers in row, then see one more Harden drive to the basket in an empty lane, and he's already flopping in mid-air to try and get a call and shoot 2, instead of just going strong to the basket.

Remember when the NBA was going to fine guys for flopping? What a fucking joke that was. Both Harden and Beverly would be flat broke right now if that was the case.

Neil, I like you, but don't push my boundaries man. I know you're trying to trigger me.

Took the guy 8 years in the league to have 1/4 of a season where it looks like he MIGHT be making other guys better. Before that, nobody ever came to Houston and played better with Harden then they did on their previous teams (no, not even Trevor Ariza). Most of them turned to shit in Houston, and had trouble ever recovering from the trauma of watching Harden chuck passes behind his back into the 3rd row of the stands, as he was falling down...to try and get a foul call from the refs.

His D is much better this year, not DPOY good, but average. Admittedly, it completely sucked last year.

Let's take a look a Curry, his defense may be worse than Harden's yet no one says a thing. And while WB can play D, not so much with skill but with effort, no one can doubt that, but I'm seeing him lose his man to get those rebounds for the triple doubles, I know you watch a lot of WB games, and you HAVE to have noticed it. Anyhow, it will be an interesting season.

I got 100.00 that says he won't get it regardless of his stats unless he's atleast a 4 seed.
