    Right,

Neil Says it Like Harden has a Track Record of Making Guys Better, Which he NEVER Did Until this Season, As You've Pointed Out...

Who else besides Ariza was Harden supposed to make better? There's not too many FA's the Rockets signed during this period. Dwight? Jason Terry? 5 other old ass vets who were already stuck in their ways? Asik? Was great in Houston, sucked since he left. Parsons? Even though he wasn't a FA, has sucked since he left.

You're Underestimating How Much HISTORY Factors in w/the Media...

Case in Point, Steph Being the Unanimous MVP Last Season....He'd have Won it Regardless, but w/Out the Warriors SURPASSING the Bulls 72-10 Season, Steph Wouldn't Have Been Unanimous, in REED's Opinion...

Look @ the Level of Hype Westbrook's ALREADY Getting, Just for Averaging a Triple Double for 1/3rd of the Season???...The Looooooooooooooonger he's Averaging a Triple Double, the MORE his MVP Support Increases...& if OKC has a Winning Record and/or Makes the Playoffs, it's a WRAP...

@ the Same Time, Harden is Fighting Off the STENCH of Last Season...If there WASN'T a Guy Averaging a Triple Double this Season, REED Could See a Case for Harden...

    But There Is...

    Just a quick little note...

If Harden had taken as many shots as WB this season, he'd be averaging 36.3 ppg.

Yeah REED, but history is what I'm basing my prediction on.

1981-1982 Moses Malone won the MVP as a 6th seed that was tied with the 5th and 4th seed. 36 years ago. And WB may not get that high.

    Yeah, TexMex gets it.

The Thunder are currently the 7th seed. I don't believe any player in history has gotten the award on a lower than 4th seed team. Damn sure not on a 7th seed.

Look no further than 2006. Kobe had by FAR the best individual season of any player, and by any reasonable standards should have been MVP. But they gave it to Steve Trash, purely on the basis of having a better TEAM.

The media don't give a shit about history. ONE season can change a player's entire narrative.

    Case in point: Shaq.

Going into 99-00, Shaq had a reputation for being an out of shape, often injured, arrogant UNDERachiever.

That year, he had a historically great regular season, the Lakers won 67 games, and he was the near unanimous MVP while being exalted to NBA legend status.

The media don't care about history... they care about WINNING.

It's not like that, had to skip a year, regardless if Harden was trash or Finals MVP, life changes, the good kind, had me absent. Should be easy to figure out, I've always been a pretty private person, but lets just say, I just got back from Nassau, and had to get a babysitter while on the trip. :eek:ld:

Rockets 15-2 since PATRICK BEVERLEY returned from injury. 6-5 with just HARDEN on the floor, making everybody better.

    Let's Keep it REAL, Bro...

Considering Harden Primarily Had the Rock in his Hands Even LAST Year, he's GOT to Take Some of the Blame in Dwight Howard's Case...Clearly, Harden DID NOT Make him Better...

There's PLENTY of Elite Players that DON'T Necessarily Make Others Better...Harden's 1 of Them...

If Harden were the FIRST star that Dwight couldn't get along with, I'd blame Harden. But he's not.

Kobe and Nash, two all time greats, both despised faggot ass Howard.

Dwight Howard is a diva who believed he was more important to the Rockets than Harden was, which was a comical thought.

What Does ANY Of That Have to Do w/Harden NOT "Making Guys Better"???...THAT's The Point Being Discussed Here...

Kobe Despised EVERYBODY and Nash Straight Up ADMITTED to "Playing for the Money", in his Laker Days...Dwight Howard was Probably THE Biggest Pure BITCH the NBA's Seen in REED's Lifetime...Nonetheless, that's IRRELEVANT to James Harden Making Him a BETTER Player, or Not...

Again, Harden CONTROLLED the Ball the Bulk of the Time, While Howard was There...Harden was ALREADY a Rocket and Howard JOINED Them...

The Bottom Line is, James Harden DOESN'T Make Teammates Better...But as Earlier Stated, there's MORE than a Few All Star Caliber Players that DON'T...No Shame in that, Ultimately, just Don't Attempt to JUSTIFY the Shit...

    Harden's Not THAT Dude...

Harden damn sure doesn't elevate guys the way Lebron, Magic, and Duncan did.

HOWEVER, in fairness to the man.... THIS YEAR he's carrying a team of scrubs to one of the better records in the west. So he's doing SOMETHING right.

Westbrook's gaudy stats are all well and good, but Harden is winning more games. And you can't make the case that he has more to work with than Westbrook, cause he doesn't.

Harden is in the right system that makes a skilled offensive player who can facilitate flourish as Nash did. Westbrook don't have that type of game/shooting ability/ passing nuance despite his assist numbers

    Pump Your Brakes, Homey...

Harden's Playing for the SAME Coach, in the SAME System that Fooled People Into Thinking Steve Nash was the MVP of the League 2wice...

Moreso, Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson Definitely AREN'T "Scrubs"...Look their Career Numbers Up Sometime and Become Enlightened....

LA transplant Chris Paul will win MVP if he keeps doing what he's doing tonight against the Spurs without Griffin
