REED was Talking about Last Season (2015-2016)...

The LACK of Defense, or "Focus" as Harden Justifies, was Indeed SHAMEFUL...The FACT Harden was Left OFF Every All NBA Team (Despite Averaging Right @ 30ppg) and was Named "Shaqtin a Fool" MVP VALIDATES How Shameful that Season was...

    agREED...

What Happened to the Days of Taking the "Higher % Shot"???...Call REED Crazy, but if Player A Shoots 10 3's and Player B Shoots 10 Layups/Mid Range, Player B Will OUTSCORE Player A More Times than Not...

There's Obviously a NEED for 3's, but Not to the DETRIMENT of Post Up Play or Mid-Range, in REED's Opinion...DWade's Arguably THE 3rd Best 2-Guard Ever, and the 3-Ball was NEVER a Strength of His...

Shit is Getting Out of Hand in Today's Game Though...Boogie Cousins Shoots 5+ 3's a Game and Now it's NOT Good Enough for Guards/Wings to Shoot 3's, They're Launching from Further and Fuuuuuuurther BEHIND the 3pt Line, On Some WANNABE Steph Curry Shit...Steph's THE Greatest Pure Shooter we've Ever Seen and he's the ONLY Motherfucker that Can or Should Do that Consistently...

These Days, it's VERY Common to See Kids Practicing w/Out EVER 1nce Stepping Foot INSIDE the 3pt Line...Like You Said, it's RUINING the Game...

What You're Failing to Point Out is Houston BENCHED Harden for Large Stretches and MOST of the 4th Quarter, During the Playoff Run You Speak Of...

And Let's Be Honest, the Clippers CHOKED Much More than Anything Houston Did to WIN That Series...And Again, the Series Changed when Kevin McHale Went DEFENSIVE Down the Stretch, BENCHING Harden and Going w/Corey Brewer, Josh Smith and Others OVER Harden's Ass...

Rondo was a diva and never good enough to be a diva.

A fuckin role player who thanks to three HOFmers got MISlabeled as a star.

When you're as LIMITED Rondo, your ass better be humble. But this motherfucker thinks he's Lebron or something as arrogant as he is.

If his attitude was better, he could still make for a very good BACK-UP point guard.

He needs to accept that his days as a starter are over. Buuuttttt.... he can't. His delusional ass probably thinks he's on the same tier as Curry, and Russ.

No Doubt he's Got a FALSE Sense of Entitlement...

He Clashed w/Rick Carlisle in Dallas, Because Carlisle WOULDN'T Allow Rondo to Call his Own Plays, EXCLUSIVELY...Bear in Mind, Carlisle's a CHAMPIONSHIP Winning Coach and DID Give Rondo the Freedom to Call SOME of his Own Plays, but Since Carlisle Didn't Give Rondo Carte Blanche to Run the Show, Rondo Got Pissy...

But 1nce he Quit on the Mavs and was Dismissed from the Team, the Players Voted to NOT Pay Rondo his Playoff Share of What the Team had Earned...

Rondo Even CLASHED w/Doc Rivers in Boston and Doc is Pretty Much RENOWN for Being a "Players Coach"...Dude's had "Issues" @ EVERY Stop and he's About to the Point that NO Teams will Want to Tolerate his Bullshit...

Your Attitude CANNOT Outweigh your Production, Period...That's the ONLY Reason Motherfucker's Tolerate Boogie Cousins' SOURPUSS Ass...

I think the magic number is around 36-37% or so, where the rewards of a 3 point shooter outweigh a guy hitting 50% from inside the 2 point arc.

They have Boogie shooting 3's because he's a shitty offensive post player who misses way too many shots for a 6-11 center. To his credit he's been hitting the correct % of 3's this year to make it worthwhile to continue doing so.

I agree though, they are getting carried away with it. They should have Anthony Davis polishing up his post game and trying to pull down some more offensive rebounds, instead of chucking up 3's.

Westbrook had an outlier game from the arc, but still managed to shoot the thunder out of the game. He takes some ridiculously bad shots

Harden is the clear cut favorite for mvp at this point

Still MORE than Half a Season to Play, but in NO WAY is Harden the "Clear Cut Favorite @ this Point" or Favored WHATSOEVER, @ This Point...

The main stat is 7. Harden's team is 7 games better and the gap will only widen as the season goes on

They are surrounded by pretty similar rosters talent wise

Houston has more scorers and okc has more size and defensive presence

As for the big picture, Cleveland getting korver is huge and I give them more of a chance to repeat. Tho I still favor golden state

Why the hell did Westbrook decide to pull up for three instead of taking the ball to the hoop when Harden was guarding him for the potential game winner

Pretty similar rosters? Houston has a better roster than OKC. Russ is playing with at least 5 guys who are close to if not full on replacement level production, Roberson, Christon, Grant, Singler and Morrow. OKC also has guys who are hit or miss, Sabonis, Abrines and Lauvergne. The only guys who have been dependable night in and night out besides Westbrook is Oladipo, Kanter, and Adams.

So that should tell you how much Russ is having to basically do by himself, as opposed to Harden who has a much more solid team and team system where every player has and knows their role. Also Harden has a higher turnover percentage than Westbrook does so I think that kind of nullifies if not equals out Harden's better efficiency. Westbrook is the MVP not just because of the triple doubles but because he's doing more with less.

If you divided up the rosters minus the two MVP candidates and did a draft I'd wager most GMs in the NBA would select Adams.

You constantly shit on Roberson but he is a very valuable piece and his worth will become apparent when he hits free agency

I'm not disputing that part about Adams. My point is when you get past both teams starters (and for OKC only four of them are reliable) Houston's bench and reserves are better than what OKC has which is a bunch of bench warmers, unprovens and guys you've never heard of.

Houston has Brewer, Beverly, Ariza, and Nene, all proven guys who are consistent and reliable, even Dekker has been a plus.

OKC has Christon and Grant (below replacement level and have been mostly useless).
Morrow and Singler. (below replacement, defensive liability and therefore rarely play).
Sabonis, Abrines, Lauvergne (solid players but inconsistent/hit or miss).

Explain to me how Roberson is valuable. Yes he is an outstanding one on one defender but his offense is nonexistent and that isn't even his biggest problem. First of all he can't shoot at all. He'll very rarely hit the occasional three pointer but teams have actually done hack-a-shaq on him with positive results.

The problem is Roberson could be an effective player but he doesn't believe in himself to the detriment of the team. He's an effective slasher but he so rarely attempts drives that it makes him a liability. He'd rather pass out of open shots and won't attack the basket because he lacks confidence. He's also soft and loses out on rebounds just because another player has better position than him. He can't pass, he can't shoot, and he won't attack the basket. The only thing he's good at is one on one defense, if you think that one above average skill is going to get him a big contract good luck, I just hope OKC isn't the team to pay him. Honestly I expect him to be out of the league or on a minimum contract at most.

Silly loss by the Warriors last night. Memphis looks like their kryptonite, and they don't have an answer for Zach Randolph off the bench.

    That's Because of Adams' YOUTH...

If we're Talking about Players that have Actually DONE Anything Worth a Damn, Eric Gordon is BETTER than Anybody OKC Has, Other than Westbrook...Ryan Anderson Just MIGHT Be...Nene's Older Now, but @ his Best, he Did MORE than Any of Westbrook's Teammates...

Harden has a Much Better Supporting Cast, Particularly on OFFENSE...It's Not Even Close...

Roberson's an ELITE Man to Man Defender (he was Getting in Harden's Ass the Other Night), but Like Lb 4 Lb Alluded to, Dude's BARELY There on the Other End of the Floor...And Aside from Kanter, OKC's Bench ISN'T Even Worth Mentioning...

Durant is probably playing the best interior defense of his career. He's not the problem, but yeah, they could use a legitimate big man to clog up the middle every once in awhile and grab a few offensive rebounds.

Bogut may actually be available, but I'm not convinced he's got much left in his legs or his general health anymore.

Yeah, starting line-up between Houston and OKC is pretty even. Biggest disparity is Houstons bench is about 1000 times better then OKC's bench. OKC has zero depth.

i like eric gordon but he is pretty unreliable health wise. not sure why he is considered any better than oladipo, either. the 30 more million dollars the thunder paid oladipo seems to indicate they thought more of him than anyone was willing to invest in gordon. the rockets pretty much salvaged gordon who had a few down years prior to this season.

when robersons contract is up this offseason he will get score a bigger deal than gordon got from the rockets. for everything mentioned about him only being valuable on one end of the floor the same could be said for ryan anderson. great shooter and good all around offensive player but pretty much a liability on the other end. nene is another guy picked up off the scrap heap and for a minimum salary. always a talented guy but when it comes down to crunch time in the playoffs he disappears.

adams is a top 5 center and kanter is one of the more skilled big men down low in the entire league as well as an excellent rebounder.

The difference is that Houston is deep enough that Eric Gordon can come off the bench. Oladipo is a starter and pretty much the only guy Westbrook has that is worth deferring to on occasion. When he's out, Westbrook has nobody else around him that can shoot. Nobody.

You said it, Gordan's health is why he was available at the price he was available at. Oladipo is younger, and up until this year mostly healthy, so he was obviously a lesser risk then Gordon......and truly at this time, Oladipo should be no more then a solid 3 option on a contending team.

Houston will end up with more wins then OKC....that's not really a question. Has nothing to do with a Westbrook / Harden debate though.

No Doubt Durant Is, but Therein Lies the PROBLEM...

He COULD Have Done that SAME Shit in OKC, to the BETTERMENT of that Team, yet he Chose NOT To...Durant was CONTENT Hoisting Up Ill Advised 3's from the Top of the Key, ALLOWING the Clippers to Defend him w/CHRISfuckingPAUL of All People, as Opposed to Actually PLAYING like the Borderline 7footer he Is, on Both Ends of the Floor...

AND, Westbrook took ALL the Blame, as Durant Basically Did what he WANTED to Do...NOW, Durant's Being More Pliable, Doing MORE Dirty Work in the Paint than he EVER Dared to in OKC...Motherfucker Could and SHOULD have Been Doing it All Along...

To REED, Durant was NEVER "All In" w/OKC and Again, Westbrook Absorbed ALL the Heat for them Never Winning...That's Bullshit...

Honestly, I think it comes down to the coaching strategies between the two teams, and the personnel available to each team.

Golden State was always able the space the floor better because of all their shooters, and right now Durant is forced to do some of the dirty work that Steven Adams and and Ibaka used to do at OKC, so he HAS to step up defensively now, especially with all the role guys Golden State had to let go to be able to sign Durant in the first place.
