It's Becoming Pretty Obvious You DON'T Watch OKC All that Much...Not Since Durant Left, Anyways...

The Westbrook-Adams Pick and Roll is a NIGHTLY Staple of Theirs...It's THE Reason Steven Adams is Scoring @ a CAREER HIGH Clip...But REED Digresses...

Ive seen OKC play enough. That isnt something they can use down the stretch of games against good teams. Its not really comparable anyhow. Adams is one of the bigger/more physical dudes in the league. durant setting a screen isnt exactly the same as him doing it

Harden bloodies up Jarebko trying to sell a flop. Shoots more free throws then the entire Celtics team and the Rockets still lose.

Sometimes, there is justice in this world.

Obviously he wasn't subpar but he never looked nearly as good as he does now. In GS he attacks the basket, blocks shots and shoots threes. When he was in OKC all the mofo did was shoot threes. And back then he wasn't as good at it as he has been in GS. I never said this but it had actually gotten to a point last season when I had more faith in Waiter's three point shot going in than I did in Durant's. Here is a small sample size of Durant's three point makes and misses from January 2016 2/6, 2/9, 4/8, 1/5, 3/8, 3/9, 1/5, 2/8, 2/10.

This is the first time I've ever seen a player criticized for having a better season then he has in the past, like that shit just doesn't happen.

Either way, Durant is slightly more efficient, because he gets more open shots with Golden State then he got with OKC, because there's two other guys on the team that shoot just as well as him.........and he gets to go to the basket slightly more because Adams or Ibaka aren't clogging up the lane.

He's (RIGHTFULLY) Criticized Because the BIGGEST Areas of Improvement are HUSTLE PLAYS...

Rebounding, Blocking Shots, Man to Man Defense, etc...That's about EFFORT, Not System...You Don't Draw Up Plays to Get Extra Rebounds for a Guy, to Get Him More Blocks or to IMPROVE his Man to Man Defense...That's All About WANTING TO...The Timing of Durant's "Improvement" in Those Areas HAS to Be Questioned...

And for the 50th Time, Ibaka WAS NOT a Paint Clogger, He was a Big who Shot Waaaaaaaaaaaay Tooooooo Many Elbow Jumpers and 3's, on Offense....Meaning, if Durant WANTED to Drive as he Is Now, the Opportunity WAS THERE...

Physical Screens are Only Utilized to Free Up a Ballhandler that CAN'T Create Space On His Own OR to Punish Small, Offensive Minded Guys Like Iverson or Steph, While They're on Defense...

Westbrook Obviously DOESN'T Need Help Getting by Defenders and Adams RARELY Sets Those Type of Screens for Him...Point Being, You DON'T Need a Big, Physical Guy to Play Pick and Roll, Especially to Set Screens on GUARDS/WINGS...

In Most Cases, the Screen is All About Creating CONFUSION btwn the Defenders...And Even When they're Prepared to SWITCH on the Screens, They're NOT Sure When the Screener is ROLLING to the Basket...w/Durant's Length, Quickness and Athleticism, he'd Be a Fucking NIGHTMARE in the Scenario...

Damn Shame OKC NEVER Used Durant in that Regard...

Ibaka morphed into that, the last year or two he was there, which was also not coincidentally the year that Durants rebounds and blocked shots stats also went up with OKC.

Either way, I'm saving all my hate for Harden REED. I like both Durant AND Westbrook for different reasons. It's no shame they never won a title while they were with OKC.....most other franchises didn't either, and OKC had a nice starting line-up for a lot of years, but they were never really very deep on the bench, or had efficient shooting outside of Durant.

Would have been nice to see him stay in OKC, but has been said already, he and Westbrook were not exactly blood brothers.

.....and they're defense has turned to shit.

Atlanta is 7-3. Everybody thought Cleveland got a steal in Korver, but never questioned why a 1st place team was so eager to get rid of him.

I'm sure the team will start to gel back eventually and it might end up being a good trade......but not the difference maker they thought it might be.

Lebron having a tanty. Firing shots at Barkley and Phil Jackson. Looking like a guy that knows they don't have a shot to win it all.

I'm not sure why. They'll be in the finals and GS has wilted in the finals before. Going a bit too early I think.

As everybody knows, I'm a stanch Lebron hater... but there's validity in his Barkley rant.

Chuck has become VERY bitter and jealous in his old age. He was never an insightful analyst, the appeal was that he was once amusing... but he's not even funny or amusing anymore... just extremely negative. Just sounds like an old man yelling at the sky. "Hater" is perhaps THE most overused word in the current generation, but it's actually accurate in the case of Barkley.

Shaq is usually a lot less negative/cynical, and doesn't take himself as seriously... probably because he's secure in the fact that he won multiple rings, and Chuck won 0.

In Barkley's defense, he was a truly great player, but that doesn't change the fact that he's become a cynical old man.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if the Cavs lose to GS this year. It doesn't matter at all. Lebron cemented his legacy with last year's comeback.

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the pressure this year is on Durant and Curry... not Lebron.

The Warriors have 2 of the top 3 players in the game on their team, they BETTER fuckin win!

the most interesting part of what james said was that barkley doesnt even want to keep working for TNT but he needs the money.

Lebron is annoying sometimes. Especially his tendency to be chummy with certain guys and hang certain lesser team-mates out to dry in public.......and especially his latest tantrum about Cleveland not spending enough to win a title, when they're already paying the highest luxury tax in the league.

Barkley has had it coming for a long time though. He's been bashing both Lebron AND Durant for a long time. Durant for some imaginary Super-team bullshit to get a ring, when all he did was join a team that was essentially homegrown through the draft to begin with.......forgetting he tried doing the exact same thing when he joined Houston years ago, though what Barkley did was even more obviously desperate.

.......and he's been on Lebrons case for a long time. I wouldn't even care so much if it was somebody else like Shaq or some other talking head, but Barkley goes on about shit he's done himself and even worse sometimes, while waxing on about the good ol' days.

Lebron smoked Barkley pretty bad with his response to him. I didn't think he had that in him. :bears:

Say What You Will about Barkley, he's the STAR of the Show...It's HIS Show...

From the Moment Shaq Joined the Team, he's Gone OUT of his Way to Be Combative w/Charles, Seemingly Trying to OUTSHINE the Star of the Show...But the Thing is, the INSTANT Barkley Gives TNT a "Shaq or Me" Ultimatum, Shaq's GONE...

Lebron went personal when this shit was pure business on Barkley's part. Barkley simply asked the question. He wasnt making the statement.

And if that did happen, I doubt Shaq would lose much sleep.

He's worth OVERWHELMINGLY more $$$$ than Barkley.

    Nah, Shaq Would Be PISSED...

He's Attempting to COMPETE w/Barkley, on the Show Charles Made Famous...Shaq's Been Coming After Sir Charles' Spot from the DAY he Appeared on the Set...REED's Actually Surprised this Recent Incident DIDN'T Occur Sooooooner, btwn Them...

Shaq WASN'T a Big Fan of "Lil Penny", Despite Making Considerably MORE Money than Anfernee Hardaway...Wasn't a Big Fan of Kobe's Either, Despite ALWAYS Making More Than Him, as Teammates...Shaq LOATHES Dwight Howard (and Most Other Contemporary NBA Bigs), Despite SHITTING on Him, Financially...

Will Shaq "Lose Sleep"???...Probably Not...But he Definitely WON'T Be "Fine and Dandy" w/Being Kicked Off the Show, if Barkley Leverages TNT Into Doing So...

    Bron's Been UNDERSTANDABLY Irritable Lately...

Team HASN'T Been Playing Well, LOSING to Squads They Have No Business Getting Beaten By...Beyond That, Bron's Endured MANY Real and/or Perceived "Slights" from Charles, Over the Years...Yet, This is THE 1st Time Bron has Lashed Back...

Yes, it was Pure Business on Barkley's Behalf, but Bron is OBVIOUSLY Going to Be Sensitive About His OWN Career, Especially when a Hall of Fame Player is Commenting On It...

Personally, REED Doesn't Think Either of Them were Wrong...REED Doesn't Even Think Shaq was Wrong for Trying to Belittle Barkley on TV...But When You DO That, Don't Get Pissed when the Target of Your Angst Lashes Back, Perhaps Even COSTING You Your Job...

    Can't Poke EVERY Bear...

NOT as Big a Deal as Many are Making of it, but In the Midst of Barkley's Criticism of Bron, Shaq Spoke Up and Basically Said, "You Don't Know ANYTHING about Trying to Repeat", All But Discrediting the Point Charles had Made...

On it's OWN, it's NATHAN...But REED's Noticed Shaq Trying to 1-Up Barkley from Day 1...NEITHER of them are Eloquent Speakers or Astute Basketball Commentators, but Shaq's MONOTONE, Often VAGUE, Mumbling Delivery PALES in Comparison to Charles' POINTED, OPINIONATED, Often HUMOROUS Approach...
