Next Step for West is Standing Under a Highway Overpass, w/a Sign that REED's "Will Suck Dick for RING"...

He Wants to PIGGYBACK his Way to a Ring...Not Exactly Admirable, Playboy...

If Cleveland were to Repeat, West Would Likely Sign w/Them This Time Next Year...

Winning is the Ultimate Goal, but Everybody CAN'T Win...That's the REALITY of Sports...

REED Would Rather Take the Stockton, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing Approach, than to Blatantly Team Hop, Year After Year, Looking to GRAVY TRAIN His Way to a Championship...

he's a contributor on any of these teams. i dont knock him one bit. if he wants to turn down 8 figures to become a champion then it is respectable. i wouldnt do it, but money dont move everybody the same.

He'll Be an 8th or 9th Man @ Best, for Golden State...

Granted, Everybody Can't Be THE MAN on a Championship Team, but Anything Less than 2nd or 3rd Option Ain't Really Worth Beating Your Chest Over, Either....@ That Point, You're Just A GUY; An EASILY Replaceable Part...

i dont really see any logic to this post. Ive never even heard west speak on the issue. where have you seen him beating his chest? he can come in and contribute, much like PJ Brown did for boston when they won. do they win without him, maybe. maybe not also

Clearly, West is on a Quest to Be a "Champion", but to WHAT End???...

David West was a Solid, HardNosed, NBA Power Forward for Many GOOD Years...The New Orleans Hornet and Indiana Pacer Version of West had a VERY Respectable Career...What he's Doing Now is Bordering on Embarrassing...Going to Teams that DON'T Need Him in the 1st Place, in Hopes of Riding their Coattails to a Championship???...

And Now It's To the Point he's Switching Teams YEARLY, In this Pursuit???...Fuck That...

The Whole Thing REEKS of DESPERATION, Honestly...And If/When it Pays Off, and West Wins a Ring, he'll Be NATHAN More than the "Fly on the Wall", that Ended Up On a Championship Team...Personally, REED Would NOT Want to Win that Way...

i dont see why anyone would have a problem with what west is doing. its his life and his career. he could certainly have signed elsewhere for more money this offseason but he chose to pursue a different goal.

did you have a problem when randy moss signed with the 49ers REED? i didnt hear any criticism lodged his way

REED Stopped Paying Attention to Moss' Career After he Convinced the Vikings to Part Ways with Him (Again).

The most UNCOMPETITIVE shit I've ever seen in basketball.

I thought it was bad enough when Allen, Pierce, Rondo, and KD formed the big 4 in Boston, and then with Lebron, Wade, and Bosh forming the big 3 in Miami.

This takes the cake. The NBA is all about ring chasing now because nobody wants to be that Payton, Barkley, Stockton, type of player whom for the PRIME of their careers mostly stayed on to try to win a championship for THEIR TEAM as opposed to jumping ship to join the team that beat them so that way they can get a ring the easy way.

The WORST thing that can happen to the NBA is if the Warriors win it all next year. A chain reaction has already been set off. Imagine how it's gonna get from here on in.

Free agency is hurting the NBA in phonetap's opinion. Durant simultaneously destroyed one franchise, and a city that loved him to play for one that didn't need him and a city that will never truly love him.

These guys think winning rings enhances their legacy and it doesn't in this case. Patrick Ewing would not have been considered a greater player if he jumped from the Knicks to the Bulls in his prime.

Would Dominique Wilkins been considered a greater player if he jumped from the Hawks to the Celtics? No.

    phonetap doesn't get it.

    This right here.

The only saving grace would be for GSW to lose in the finals next season or get bounced early but I can't see it happening. This is as close to a rigged victory as you can get without scripting the whole season.

I agree the system is particularly flawed given how important single players are in basketball due to the size of the teams.

Again, yet another sport that should be taking from baseball's near flawless model. Guaranteed compensation picks should be mandatory in the case of the signing of any player of this calibre.

So OKC automatically gets the Warriors say, 2018 1st round pick.

REED's NEVER Been the Biggest DWade Fan, But Dude has LITERALLY Taken Pay Cuts EVERY SINGLE YEAR HE PLAYED FOR THE HEAT...Not 1nce was Wade EVER Their Highest Paid Player...

Given Wade's Performance Pre-Shaq, BALLING OUT and Winning a Championship w/Shaq, MAINTAINING his Hall of Fame Level of Play, Post-Shaq (Check Out Highlights from his 30ppg Season, EPIC), Personally RECRUITING Chris Bosh and LeBron James to Miami, and GUIDING Them to 2 Additional Championships, Dwyane Wade is Amongst THE LAST Guys in the League that Deserves Getting his Jersey Burned....

Dwyane Wade IS the Miami Heat, Period...

Total disgrace. Wade has continually taken unders for his wage. Time comes for him to get paid and the Heat back out. The last person a fanbase should be burning jerseys over.

I don't have an issue with it. I'd rather the players have the freedom to move where they choose and maximize their dollars than have fewer rights like NFL players have. The NFL has the worst union in sports.

Both Jim Brown and Barry Sanders had their careers cut short because they didn't have the freedom nor option to switch teams.

I'm also tired of hearing crap about the amount of money these guys are making. The owners are business men and more importantly billionaires. If they can offer $100 million dollar contracts to mediocre players like Nick Batum, what are they making in order for that to be financially feasible.

If this comes from the place of an individual team getting the short end on these free agency deals...I understand it from a fan perspective but from a business perspective, good for them.
