blocking the lakers may have been part of it, but they hardly gave up a whole lot. harkless was a nice versatile defender but morris is a much better shooter and player.

REED Ain't Suggesting it was a BAD Trade @ All for the Clippers; It Wasn't...Morris is a Tad DRAMAcentric, But he CAN Play...

That Said, In Terms of Team NEED, it Behooved the Lakers to Pull Off This Particular Move MORE Than it Did the Clippers...

I just read an article analyzing worldwide basketball. The main points of it were how much basketball has tactically evolved from the 90s and 00s.

It also suggested that the hotbeds of the sport as of now are in Argentina, Spain and Australia. NBA, it claimed, hasn't kept up in the newest development, mainly since it concentrates on individual stars and efforts. In world championships last year USA got demolished as their style of playing was too slow compared to the best.

Granted, the best players are still in the NBA and by a clear mile but it is interesting to see if the universal tactical trends hit the NBA in the next years

He played like absolute shit the game before against the Rockets.

Paul George playing mediocrely due to nagging injuries. Same shit we went through with him the 2 seasons he was in OKC.

Westbrook been playing a lot better lately. Taking almost zero threes

Capela being gone has opened the lane for him to attack

It will be interesting to see if this formula works at all in the postseason

Tactics Have Evolved Because of Rule Changes and Analytics...

Guard Play, Spacing, Dribbling, Shooting and Passing are Emphasized More TODAY Than Ever...REED Still Maintains a Dominant Post Player Making 55%-60% of His Shots is MORE "Efficient" Than RAINING 3's All Game, Analytics Be Damned, But Whatever:Jest:...

What was the Article's Definition of a "Hotbed"???...

On a GRASSROOTS Level, Americans are Touching a Basketball from Birth in Many Instances...Basketball is CULTURAL in the Sense that EVERY Inner-City Child PLAYS it @ Some Point, Whether They Like It, Want to Play It, or Not...Black, White, Latino, Whatever, if You Spent ANY Appreciable Time in Inner-City America, You've Played Basketball...

A Bored Child Can Walk to the Nearest Playground and Shoot Hoops By THEMSELVES or w/Friends...You Can Also Dribble a Basketball for Blocks and Blocks w/Out Shooting it @ All ...Basketball is Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeply EMBEDDED in Americans, Black-Americans in Particular...

Perhaps the Countries You Noted Are Hotbeds for PROFESSIONAL Basketball, Given the Abundance of Leagues...

But That Raises a Whole Nother Issue Altogether, Because Americans Legally CANNOT Pursue Professional Basketball Until After High School...Whereas Dudes Like Luka and Others Have Played "Professional" Since 15-16 or Younger...

PG is the KEY to the Clippers Beating the Lakers in a Playoff Series...

They're BANKING On a 4-Headed Monster to Take Turns Defending Bron, But Beverley and Morris Would Guard Him Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar LESS than Kawhi and PG Would, Over the Course of a Series...

w/Out PG, that Puts the BULK of the Bron Defensive Responsibility on Kawhi, Which Diminishes His Offense...

He’s been doing this since January even before Capela left, now it’s just gonna be bigger. Lillard had an even more amazing January than Russ did, yet somehow Lebron James won player of the month. Politics.

Pretty SHITTY if DWade was REALLY the Judge that Deviated from the Plan of Scoring the Last 2 Dunks EVEN, Just So a Miami Heat Could Win:rolleyes:...

As Impressive as Jones Jr's Final Dunk was, Zach Lavine SHAT On it Years Earlier Going btwn the Legs from the Same Distance...Jumping Over Tacko was MORE Impressive in REED's Opinion...

    Aaron Gordon Got FUCKED, Period...

Hot take, but I honestly thought that was pretty fucking disrespectful to Tacko Fall. Piece of shit move by Shaq pointing out the G-Leaguer to Gordon, who then had no choice but to be the guy Gordon had to violently teabag to get his dunk. Now Tacko has to look at that image for the rest of his life, through no fault of his own.

I notice Shaq didn't volunteer to stand in the lane for Gordon, which would have gotten just as much if not more fanfare, because............well, it's fucking Shaq.

Also, I only saw the highlights, and in the order it was presented in, it looked like Gordon took it upon himself to essentially play a dunk game of "HORSE" with Jones, basically replicating what Jones did in some way or form, instead of coming up with something on his own. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, please.

.....and the way Gordon whined at the end, ahhh, I know one of the judges fucked up their own goddamn fix, but sure, take your ball and go home.

Getting voluntarily dunked on in a dunk contest isn’t a sign of disrespect or embarrassment.

The biggest issue I had with this dunk contest is them painting this narrative that Gordon was somehow robbed in the 2016 dunk contest against Zach Lavine. I’m sorry but jumping from the free throw line AND putting the ball through your legs is pretty much unreplicatable and a guaranteed win move.

Read my post again. Getting "voluntarily dunked on" and getting forcibly teabagged are two completely different things. Why didn't Shaq sacrifice himself for the dunk if it was no big deal? It's because he knew Gordon was going to have to hit this kid in the head with his open crotch, in order to score the dunk.

Why should Shaq do it? It’s not like he hasn’t been willingly dunked over before. The point of using Taco was because he’s much taller, he’s extremely popular and it’s never been done before with a guy that tall. Shaq may have legitimately not wanted to do it but I don’t think it had anything to do with being tea bagged but probably more that he’s been there and done that stuff before. To say he set Taco up for a tea bagging is a stretch IMO.
