It's a Moot Point w/Kyrie, Since the Lakers Only Have Like $23-$27mil to "Spare" Under the Cap...

But in THEORY It'd Be Perfect...1 CLEAR Perimeter Guy (Kyrie or Kemba Walker), 1 CLEAR Post Guy (AD) and Another that ROAMS in Both Areas (Bron)...

Mike Conley to Utah for Korver, Crowder, Grayson Allen and Utah’s 2019 pick and a future first.

That’s a good prediction on the Korver side. I have less faith in the Melo one, I think he’s already played his last NBA game.

yea they can pay him the extra year, but no matter where he signs he'll get 38 mill the first year of the deal instead of the 31 opting in would have earned him

Does Golden State get some type of draft compensation if another team signs him?

Frees up a lot of cap space to for the upcoming year. Maybe they can reload again.

No compensatory picks in the nba

They won't have any cap space either since they'll give Thompson 5 years 190mill

I think Malcolm Brogdon should be the guy the Lakers go after. Cheaper than Kyrie and is a solid ball handler and can knock down the 3. I think he'd play well off LeBron and vice versa. He'd get open looks from 3. Last year he went 50% from the field, 40% from 3 and over 90% from the free throw line plus he's not ball dominant.

The Nets just made a qualifying offer to Russell which seems to confirm the earlier rumors that they weren’t interested in Irving joining the team without another superstar in tow.

Irving’s best option would probably be to go back to Boston and take the super max but I doubt they want to pay him that much nor want him back in the first place. Looks like he’ll have to join the Knicks after all, or consider the Clippers.

Iggy to Memphis. Apparently not related to his comments about his injury. Smart move or not, I’ve got a lot of respect for him putting that out there. People shat on Kawhi but after the KD injury and now what AI just said, he’s been vindicated in my eyes.

I actually just listened to a podcast where the guy said Iggy went on First Take with him and was totally effusive in his comments about GStates medical staff and that they completely did right by him. He later got word he was going to get traded and that was when he made the comments about his injury being misdiagnosed.

So it’s either sour grapes or a case of no need to have your employer’s back since he just became your ex-employer. Maybe even a little bit of both.

what igoudala said was that his injury was misreported, not misdiagnosed.

Yeah the wording was a bit ambiguous but then he talked about teammates putting on pressure.

He knew what he was doing imo.

If he winds up on the Lakers we won’t forget that you called it.

Really praying Kawhi doesn’t go to the Lakers. There doesn’t need to be another team to hold the league hostage again and I don’t need to have a new team to hate and thoroughly root against.

Kawhi was at Baro Toronto or some shit with Drizzy early morning yet everyone speculated that he was on a plane to San Diego

    He's probably agreeing to a 1+1 today

WOW Kawhi and PG13 to LA CLIPPERS NOT LAKERS

Kawhi becomes the first best player on a reigning world championship team to leave

Leonard, George and Beverley is just a fucking amazing trio as far as perimeter defense is concerned.

It took George 1 season longer than I expected to realize he needed to get away from westbrook

Wow. I might actually have 3 teams I’ll watch day in and day out next season. Of course my OKC team but also being a Louisiana native I think I’m going to finally embrace The Pelicans. Not just because of Zion but because of him and I like the pieces they’ve put around him. Also Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are probably my 2 favorite players in the league so I think I’m going to be a slight Clippers fan too.

Yeah, if they can all stay healthy (questionable), that will be a hell of a defensive group.
