Humbling Departure from the Finals for the Mavs, to Say the Least... REED Almost Thinks Getting SWEPT Would've Been Better...@ Least THAT Way, Kyrie Wouldn't Have Had to Play Shitty Yet Again, Which Has Become his NORM In Boston, for Whatever Reason... That Said, REED's Expecting Luka to Come into Next Season in THE Best Shape of his Career, Win 2025 League MVP and Lead the Mavs to Another Deeeeeep Ass Playoff Run.... REED
So this guy Reed Sheppard that was the third pick tonight for the Rockets only played one year at Kentucky. And only started 5 times. He played in 33 games and has some good stats. But only was in the starting line up five times.
the draft looks weak as fuck to me. buncha frogs in the top 6. i like the stephon castle pick for the spurs. he will be good
i dont really understand why clingan got picked ahead of edey. a bit more mobility but i think edey has the better career.
excellent pick by the lakers. dalton knecht was probably the best college player i saw, certainly offensively. what the fuck is up with all the bedazzled/shiny suits on these kids?
So Dillingham, who was drafted 8th only started one game last year (unless wikipedia is wrong) at Kentucky. WTF is going on at Kentucky? Now they both got some minutes. Sheppard averaged 28 mpg & 12+ ppg. Dillingham averaged 24 mpg & 15+ ppg. It's still perplexing. Who are these guys that were good enough to actually start at Kentucky & why aren't they being drafted?
Kentucky had a buncha guys who were top 10 HS recruits. Scalipari pissed it away as usual. Sheppard was 79 on the list I looked at Dillinghams high-school HLs looked insane. He has talent but it didn't seem like a fit on the spurs. Surprised they dealt the 8th pick for future pick/swap 6 and 7 years from now. They must expect edwards to be leaving before then Dillingham and Sheppard didn't show shit when they got bounced by Oakland
I was a UK basketball fan in the 90s & I remember Sheppard's dad, Jeff Sheppard on the '96 & 98 championship teams. He was a great player. So Calipari couldn't win shit this past season & all the NBA scouts & experts figured out that his two best players were two he had coming off the bench. Great job, Johnny!
Scalipari is a bum as a coach, strategically. Great recruiter, especially when he had William Wesley filtering all the top talent his way Still only managed 1 chip As for Jeff Sheppard and their chip with pitino. That was all about pace. They upped the tempo vs Utah. Utes didn't have the horses to play a fast paced game My guy Andre miller, watts cali legend, lead that team of him and nothing but slow YTs past the defending Champs Arizona. With Bibby, Jason Terry and Dickerson. Past unc with Vince Carter and Jamison, and then they lost to tucky.
Westbrook to Denver. Terrible move. Russ is not only a terrible floor spacer but has been a shell of his former self. He may look pretty good in the regular season commanding the 2nd unit but lately he's been so self destructive in the playoffs that I genuinely believe he doesn't want to be out there.
Westbrook opted into a 4mill dollar deal because he knew no one else would beat it The clippers had to throw in 4.3mil cash and a pick swap to get Utah to take him

You know what else is perplexing? How am I the only person on earth that watches the NBA draft but doesn't watch the NBA? Even worse, I started watching the WNBA a little bit after the '23 NCAA finals and have still loosely followed it. The Orlando Magic are my NBA team. I couldn't name a single player on the roster right now. The Phoenix Mercury are my WNBA team. I know at least half the players.
