Yeah, true. I sometimes spend a full hour searching and trying to decide what to watch, and then just say fuck it and go to bed.

When did Bazooka Joe become so confrontational?

Netflix is so badly run. They spend hundreds of millions to make shitty movies and don't support the good stuff they do have.

    what dont they support?
Also they are new to this movie making business. And for being new has put out some quality, award winning stuff. Their newest Coen Brothers movie is damn good.

If you decide to do away with Hollywood junk and watch the foreign selection of independent movies on Netflix, you won't be disappointed. They got some really really good foreign stuff on there, especially from Indian cinema. Here's a list of movies you'll enjoy in Hindi/Tamil language if you're open to international cinema. All have english captions obviously.

    Bhouri (2017)
    The Silence (2017)
    Angry Indian Goddesses (2017)
    Pink (2016)
    Drishyam (2015)
    Sometimes (2018)
    Chandni Bar (2001)
    Sarkar (2005)
    Gelo (2017)
    Autohead (2017)
    Ajji (2017)
    Love and Shukla (2017)
    Tikli and Laxmi Bomb (2017)

I'm not talking about those types of movies, Mustard. None of that singing/dancing/overdramatic/overacting nonsense that's churned out of Bollywood.
I'm talking about independent movies that have real-life type stories. No dancing/singing crap. It's entirely different from what you're thinking.

I've no fuckin clue why anyone outside of the Indians would be remotely interested in this stuff.

I watch everything no matter if it's from Brazil, Korea, Japan, etc. Seen some great movies out there. All I can do is just recommend some of the movies I've watched. Anything with a good story is what matters IMO.

By the way, Hanzy - there are so many fuckin restaurants here in my city from tons of countries and cultures yet hardly any Indian restaurants.

None of the movies on my list are Bollywood films.
I really have no idea about Brazil. Over here there's a ton of Indian restaurants.
Non-Indians seem to love Indian food here.

I've got everything from This Was in 1969 to StormWatch in 1979.

After that, it's hanging-on time, really...

Watched Outlaw King yesterday. Sort of like a sequel to 'Braveheart' and gotta admit it was pretty good. Of course they didn't had Mel Gibson's film budget, but they did marvels with what they had. Chris Pine was acceptable as Robert The Bruce, Aaron Taylor Johnson was unrecognizable as the bloodthirsty crazy James Douglas, Stephen Dillane (Stannis from Game of Thrones) was also buried in character as King Edward I, but comparisons with the late Patrick McGoohan would not be fair. But the performance that really shines is Florence Pugh as Elizabeth de Burgh, Robert the Bruce's appointed wife by the king of England. This English actress brought the real heart of the film that her male actors couldn't pull off with her display of wisdom, strength, loyalty, despair and love for her new family and new country. Also she proudly possess the most beautiful breasts nipples from any Netflix original film. The action scenes while good lean more toward graphic gore which I wasn't much a fan of. My biggest complain was the rushed epilogue. Too much info tossed in the final on screen paragraphs. It would have been better either to show us a glimpse of that narrative or stick only to the main character's fate. 7/10

    Yup.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs turned out to be one of the most enjoyable films I watched this year. This is one of the best Coen's movies ever. It feels sort like watching a Western version of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone: 5 vignette stories of buffonery, lunacy, obsession, love, tragedy and plain weirdness. The first tale with that wacky looking singing gunslinger (Tim Blake Nelson) is a total riot. I laughed hard through out the whole thing. Only the Coen's could have pulled greatness out of totally ridiculous premise. The cast is solid, except for James Franco who feels miscast here. Liam Neeson pulled a gritty performance in his mostly silent character. I want to watch this film again. 8/10
