I thought Franco was just fine, good in fact. As for the show I think it would have been better had the second story been the second to last story and the first story should have been last. They were both the best two stories and the drop off after those two was pretty steep. On the other hand you put any of those other stories first and most people probably aren’t sitting through the whole show 7.5/10.

I thought the Liam Neeson story was the best. The Buster Scruggs one was the weakest, it was ridiculous and almost Family Guy-ish.

So, The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs is a movie made up of 6 stories and from what we see hear, two of them are good, the other four are average or bad?

That makes it something like 6/10?

    Yeah, thought so.

Just watch it you cunt. I think everybody will have a different opinion what they think is the best. They are all pretty strong. My favorite was the one with Tom Waits as the Gold Miner.

See that’s another thing about the order. The first two come off as very spoofish and funny so I go into the Liam Neeson one waiting for the joke to drop and it isn’t until the very end I realize it’s a drama story.

I liked the Scruggs one the best, it was ridiculous but that was the point and also what made it good.

Also the songs in Scruggs segment are quite catchy and I don't like country music. The vignette about The Gal Who Got Rattled was solid drama. I was hoping for a happy ending for Ms Alice & Billy Knapp. They truly deserved each other and happiness, but of course it had a fucked up ending. Billy Knapp should had shot that damn little dog.

I got as far as the first story, and that irritated the fuck out of me....or rather the cunt in white did.
(I mean, I knew this already from the trailer but i thought id give it a chance).
Nope. Just low-grade Western 'spoof' by the typically & hugely overrated Jew-Dork Boys.

    5/10 for the first 20 mins...tops.
3/10 for the rest (that I already predicted as being dogshit based on everyone else's reviews but didnt need to see to confirm)

Watched last night The Christmas Chronicles and while it is not a great film, it entertains. Kurt Russell is Kurt Russell playing Santa Claus in the sense that while he does a good job, unless you are a 9 year old (the movie's target audience), you KNOW this is not Santa Claus, but a famous Hollywood actor. An unknown or a not-so-famous character actor would have been a better choice, but probably they wanted a name actor thus Russell came on board. And another name thespian also has a cameo at the end, but the 9 year olds will not get the revelation as they don't know this old star. The real star here is the 10 year old actress who plays Kate. This little girl has the acting chops of a pint size Meryl Streep and commands every scene she is in. The special effects are acceptable and the convoluted plot moves fast enough to not let you see the huge gaps in it. All in all a fun time for the whole family and a good pick to watch on Christmas night. 7.5/10

"Telekinesis" was stupid but kind of fun.

Don't know if I'm up for "The Quiet Place" but with your eyes instead of your ears. Looks slightly annoying to me.

Bird Box is worth a watch...has similarities to a quiet place but it's not a monster movie like that..you don't actually see monsters

Some random 90s 'comedy' not being available constitutes a failure?

Binge watched 'Maniac' mini-series starring Emma Stone & the now thinner Jonah Hill. Like it a lot. Very original and doesn't take itself too seriously even though it has some fucked up moments. I didn't knew anything about this series plot and that helped as I wasn't expecting a science fiction drama due to the title. Since I love Emma Stone in practically everything (except for "La La Land" that bored me to death), I was pre-biased to like it, but she really did a solid job here as well as punchable face Jonah Hill who was convincing as the schizophrenic guy. 7.6/10

Month after month, they have less and less of anything that's good.

I logged on last night and the 5 or 6 new series they are showing are pure, unadulterated dogshit....I mean embarrassing.

How do you know what's good or what's bad unless you watch it? There are lots of movies on Netflix but people are spoiled as hell nowadays.
