Surprise, Surprise... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf...fl-draft-following-this-season-162645808.html Stevie Wonder SAW This Coming.... REED:kidcool:
Not Saying Seattle Lost to the Rams BECAUSE of their Defense; Across the Board, there's LESS Reason to FEAR Them...Yet, As Recent as a MONTH Ago, the Seahawks were Deemed a SCARY Team to Play, by MOST in the NFL... The Percy Harvin Situation Could Cripple this Team BEYOND the Rams Game...Apparently, "Beast Mode" was UPSET w/the Trade & Contemplated NOT Getting on the Team Flight to St. Louis, Resulting in FEWER Carries...On the Other Hand, Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate & Even Russell Wilson ALL Had "Altercations" w/Harvin... This Team is Now SPLINTERED... If Russell Wilson (Somehow) GALVANIZES the Troops & Repeats, He'll Get ALL the Props in the Woooooorld from REED...Don't BET On It, Though... REED:kidcool:
REED the Seahawks never had a 'cloak of invincibility' as you put it. This team literally 'rose from the ashes' in 2012 with the emergence of Russell Wilson. Just the year prior (with Lynch I'll add) they went from somehow scraping into the playoffs at 7-9 to being a legit threat. When Wilson showed up in 2012, it was basically a 'last minute' decision, and a shaky one at that to start him in 2012, and he took the team to 11-5 that year. They made the playoffs his first year, and despite Pete Carroll's abilities to rally the troops, Pete let down the team and in my opinion cost them a spot in the NFC Championship with some poor play calling by not kicking easy field goals earlier in a game they barely lost. In 2013 the team had momentum, and yeah they were tough to beat, everybodys behind the team and they quickly went from underdogs to a 'feared' team. But they had ALOT of close victorys, alot of games that Wilson pulled out late. There was always the feeling that this team was just good enough, IF everything clicked. Anybody in Seattle will tell you that even during the Superbowl game that was in hindsight 'over from the start', the only time we could relax a LITTLE was after Harvin returned the 2nd half punt to make it 29-0. But make no mistake, Percy Harvin had almost NOTHING to do with the Seahawks success. If anyone was 'along for the ride' in that super bowl it WAS Percy Harvin and anybody in Seattle that followed the team will have told you that well before the trade this weekend. Like any team sport everything has got to be in place for things to happen, so even losing a couple guys here and there who don't put up big stats can really hurt the team. Seattle has a few key guys injured right now, as well as losing what was their top receiver in Tate and one of the top tackles Giacommini. They AREN't the same team they were last year, not by much, but just enough that they will have to work hard for every W. It's not so much a matter of being splintered mentally (remember alot of the infighting went down prior to the Superbowl), but a matter of the team losing some key guys, and now having to figure out how to fill in a few key roles with new skill sets, something they've already done with great success in a short amount of time.
If it's true that Harvin punched Tate the night before the super bowl his ass shouldn't have been on the roster the first week of the season. Harvin's been a problem everywhere he's been....high school, college and the pros. He's as injury prone as he is explosive. I really don't see what the big deal is, it's not like he played a major role in getting them to the Super Bowl. He was hurt most of last year anyway. I think they miss Golden Shower Tate more than they'll miss him.
I wouldn't be surprised if these migraines that he gets, affects his behavior and his temper. I have a hard time thinking he's not going to be one of those really sad NFL stories, 10 years down the line or so.
When I saw Pete Carroll holding his head, going crazy, and complaining Sunday, I immediately flashed back to his childish, outlandish celebration over the Failed Mary, the worst call in the history of the NFL. :Bad: Fuck that guy.
After trouncing the Niners on Sunday, my boys have a big game this Thursday. The Chargers got us in Denver on a Thursday night last season and Denver's team looked half dead out there. Phyllis" Cry Me A" Rivers loves to brag about his record against Denver. What else is the hillbilly going to talk about? Superbowls? I hope we beat them worse than the Niners.
That's THE 1st Moment REED Cared Enough to Even NOTICE the Seattle Seahawks & Carroll's Reaction was a Huuuuuge, Immediate TURNOFF...The Replay CLEARLY Showed it was a BOTCHED Call, yet Carroll NEVER Owned Up to It, After the Fact...Worse, it Actually HEIGHTENED Carroll's Arrogance... This from a Coach who READILY BENEFITTED from THE Most Booster Supported Football Squad of the Early 00's, a Squad he BOLTED From, the Moment he Realized Shit was about to Hit the Fan... Couple That w/Golden Tate's "I Don't Know What You're Talking About", Response to the Sideline Reporter Asking if he Realized he PUSHED a Guy in the Back (OFFENSIVE Pass Interference, in Other Words), Milliseconds Prior to "Catching" the TD Pass...&, of Course, Richard Sherman's MOUF'... UGH!!!.... Fuck Pete Carroll AND his Gum...It's Funny how the Motherfucker DOESN'T Chew Any, When Things AIN'T Going Well for his Team... REED:mj:
Despite the Completely UNEXPECTED 6-1 Record & the Pleasantly SURPRISING Play of the Defense, "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys Still STRUGGLE Generating a CONSISTENT Pass Rush... The FACT Michael Sam COULDN'T See the Light of Day on a Squad that NEEDS Pass Rushers, Certainly DOESN'T Bode Well for his Chances of Sustaining an NFL Career... On the Brightside, there's Always Gay PORN... REED:limp:
ill say this, barring injuries it will take an epic choke job by the asphyxiating hick this season for denver not to win the super bowl. they are loaded on defense. they upgraded with sanders for decker as i said before the year. DThomas and JThomas are a year more experienced and better. they get 3 pro bowl level players that didnt play in the super bowl in clady, von miller and chris harris jr back healthy. added ware, tj ward, roby, talib. team is stacked.
Intriguing Game w/Seattle on the Road vs. Carolina... Carolina's DOMINATED Time of Possession, Yardage, 1st Downs, etc., But Only Mustered 2 FG's and a Fumbled Snap, in Seattle's Red Zone, in the 1st Half...Kelvin Benjamin has 2 Catches, Both for 1st Downs, on Richard Sherman...Should've Had a 3rd, a TD No Less, than Went Right Through his Hands... Cam Newton Had an Efficient Half UNTIL Bobbling a Handoff w/Johnathan Stewart, Which Seattle Easily Recovered...Seattle Then Has By Faaaaaaaar their Best Drive of the Half, Until "Beast Mode" Tips What SHOULD have Been a TD Catch to a Carolina Defender for an INT... 6-3 Carolina, @ the Half... REED:mj:
PATHETIC INT by Newton... Under Duress, he Attempts a WEAK, Backhanded Flip "Pass" to Greg Olsen, that's EASILY Intercepted...1 of THE Worst INT's You'll Ever See... REED:doh:
Golden Tate is making the most out of his opportunity. I've been big on him dating back to Notre Dame and was kind of shocked he didn't make an impact sooner, but he has really stepped up his game with Calvin out. TFK
PISS POOR Offensive Pass Interference Call, ROBBING Baltimore of a Come from Behind WIN @ Cincy... Flacco Completes a BOMB to Steve Smith, who Catches & Runs in for a TD, w/30+ Seconds Remaining...While Replays Clearly Show Smith TOUCHING the Chest of the Defender, in NO Way did Smith Push or Shove the Defender...It was Incidental Contact, No Different than What Defenders Get Away w/on Deeeeeeeeeeeep Balls.... Nonetheless, Dude Pulls Off a Flop that Would've Made Derek Fisher or Manu Ginobili Proud, SUCKERING the Ref into Calling Offensive Pass Interference... REED:baa:
Seattle BREAKS Carolina's Hearts, Stealing Victory from the Jaws of Defeat, Late in the 4th Quarter... REED:mj:
To trump tulloch, Lamar Houston injured himself celebrating his first sack of the season, down 25 pts in the 4th quarter
PISSburg Rocking the League's Worst Throwback's EVER...They LITERALLY Look Like Shit... REED:shit #2:
Panthers and Seahawks seem to shut each other down well. Last year Seattle beat them 12-7. This year 13-9.
Today's Version was THE Most Fan-Friendly, LOW Scoring Game REED's Ever Seen... NEITHER Wilson, Nor Cam had Jaw Dropping Stats, but Both Made PLAYS...Both FUMBLED & Threw INT's...Entertaining Game to WATCH, Despite the Score... REEDopcorn:
Speaking of DB-Receiver Matchups, Carolina Rookie, Kelvin Benjamin, was Giving Richard Sherman THE BUSINESS During Stretches of Seattle's Comeback Win... Only 4 Catches, but had 94yds on 7 Targets...The Highlight Being a 51yd Completion w/Sherman AND Earl Thomas Sandwiching Him...Dude Also Had a Pass Slip Through his Hands In the END ZONE, & Cam OVERTHREW on Another Deeeeeep Strike (w/Sherman BEAT on Both Occasions)... Benjamin Left Some Plays on the Field, but it WASN'T Because of Sherman, who Guarded him Man to Man for the Vast Majority of the Game... REED:Bad:
heard about that. kyle fuller had him pretty locked up. man to man, most of the time. as he did with julio jones
REED, why you hate all CB's not named Deion Sanders? You should know by now there's no such thing as a true shut down corner in football anymore. The rules don't allow for it.
