He wasn't going to the ground, he had both feet on the ground after making the catch, THEN got tripped up by the Packer defender. This made his end-zone lunge fall short, and made him down the instant his hip hit the ground, which happened before the ball ever touched the ground as he was extending out.

If Dallas hadn't gotten the calls last week I'm sure more people would be sympathetic to their fans cries.

Colts did a good job with their coverages but we expected A LOT more from the Broncos offense. Peyton was off. We went for the run on first down ten times after the Colts got wise to it. Defense played Shitty in the first half, better in the second half. Offense was the letdown.

Bears should cut their whole team. Or Chicago should let them move to LA. They've been an overhyped embarrassment for almost a decade now.

This guy sounds bitter that the Broncos window has closed. They went all in this year and were 1 and done ( for the umpteenth time in mannings career)

Look at your posts before the season started about the Bears. All excited about this guy and wishing you had this other guy on defense? Why so you can give up 30 points a game instead of 40? Your team is a 5 win joke. Look at Cuntler's salary before u talk about what other teams need to do. Your second string QB's contract is the punchline of the NFL.

my preseason pick was seattle vs new england and it still looks good. Indy surprised me, their defense didnt miss any tackles except the 4th down run by anderson. Davis has grown into a top 5 corner. its too bad he dropped that pick at the end, it may have turned out to be the last pass of mannings career if he caught it. how fitting that wouldve been!

Seattle look like a machine right now... It's going to take a lot to keep them from winning the whole thing

Well manning has a torn quad apparently so that may explain his pathetic showing yesterday

Sharon rodgers played the whole game effectively and won with a tear in his calf, vs a better team. And the team didn't have to hide it

I dunno. Both guys looked gimpy but it should have affected rodgers more considering he can actually move and make plays when healthy.

Anyone hear rodgers call an audible "new York bozo" and have thoughts on who he was taking a shot at ?

"New Jersey Bozo" would have been too obvious.

The Dez catch or no catch is light years different from the Butch Johnson catch in the Super Bowl that was the impetus for the whole "controlling the ball through contact with the ground" rule.

Dez Bryant made a remarkable catch. Much like the Calvin Johnson example, it's a great play negated by a terribly vague rule. If 2 steps and lunging toward the end zone doesn't constitute making a "football move"' what does?

i think the league needs to change the running into the kicker rule. IF a kicker is going to miss a FG attempt on purpose to avoid getting it blocked then it should negate any penalty for running into him the same as if its blocked does. chancellor's tremendous play was penalized, where as gano's cowardice was rewarded. what is to stop kickers from kicking a ball toward the sideline next time it is likely to be blocked?

Still, even if it was called a catch, it wasn't a touchdown. And there is no guarantee Dallas scores after that play. And if they did score (and make the 2 pt conversion), who's to say Rodgers doesn't lead the Packers back down the field and score another TD, or at the least a game tying (winning if the 2 pt wasn't made) field goal?

These Cowboy fans you see blaming the loss on the Bryant play are just crybabies.
