I don't remember you ever making a prediction on Nonito - Darchinyan. My prediction is on Boxrec where 90% of those guys picked Vic by KO, and so did most of the media and fans. You act like you KNEW Nonito would win. Vic was top 2 or 3 in his weight class when Nonito knocked him out.

I notice you still can't name one elite fighter Arce has beaten. This is the 4th time I've asked you and you still can't do it.

Where do you envision most of those fights taking place?

The Darchinyan fight worked out because Shaw promoted both fighters and Darchinyan was a Showtime fighter.

That was an easy fight to make. Some of the others, maybe not so much.

It would be nice if Shaw actually showed some initiative with Nonito, though they've had some words back and forth and that may not have helped the situation.

I agree....Nonito would definitely need to be willing to travel. But the fights can still be made...and at 112 Nonito can leverage his size even more.

He did a paint job on Titi and that was a nice defense and all....but if he REALLY wants to unify or be serious at 112, there are guys to fight - the division isn't THAT dry.

And Nonito IS from the Philippines, which makes him friendlier globally.

My point is, though - if he's truly going to call out the big names at 115, he should campaign there - a title shot isn't going to fall on his lap like it does some lower-level guys in the higher weight classes. Doesn't happen as much in the lower classes, and he doesn't yet have the pedigree at 112 to demand and get a title shot at 115.

At 115 he hasn't done that much.

So if you're going to call out there - then campaign there and fight a serious contender.

    Peace.
