Some people say Karoly Balzsay had an even better KO against some journeyman on the Erdei undercard, but I haven´t seen it. That being said, I don´t rate Balzsays or Wilsons KO. Donaire gets bonus points for scoring a perfect one pucnh KO against a world class fighter. You don´t become the fighter of the year for beating three bums in impressive fashion and since great KO´s, not TKO´s, at the hightest level of our sport have become rare, I´d say Donaire is No.1 right now.

That was like two punches in one. I don't know which was harder, the left hook that got him daze or the face plant the broke his nose.

vic was acting in a way of shock really, nonito acted professional and is a pretty good counterpuncher speaking 2 languages and doing his own translation  good for Boxing. Donaire was willing to take a straight left to land his hook, fortunately for him his landed first with all the momentum with it

That was a good KO and Wilson's KO was good but they were against bums.

Nonito's was a one hitter quitter against a recognized world champion.

    Upset? No....midget figthing....never an upset....GREAT counter though...

Darchinyan will never be the same....he didn't take a beating but his confidence is shot...next fight you will see him trying to jab more and work himself in...

:crafty: You'd best learn to love "Iron boy", and stealth your way unsuspectingly into Fightbeat's appropriately opressed quale-weight clan, "My boy Calderon will knock him out, although Y2kbattery Singawatchaloggikkaliphoriabokkk IIV has a good chance" is a nice little ribbon snipper for a lost soul seeking a new niche,..

    However,...

pm: :dunno: Where the fuck did he come from?
reply: I think Margarito knocked Cotto out last week.
pm: Aww ok, now I get it.

what a treat. what a blessing. what a gift it was to watch Vic not only get KTFO, but out-classed. And Donaire even used Vic's reckless aggression against him, catching him repeatedly during his obnoxious and arrogant loading up before finally depositing him.

Nah, any fighter in that weight class who was stupid enough to come lunging in at that range without working his way in first with the jab would have most likely gotten KTFO with that punch.

Nonito fought a brilliantly smart fight and was the first fighter brave enough and with enough pop to use Vic's flaws against him. Now that there's a blueprint out there expect Darchinyan to have a tougher time from here on out, unless he just goes back to fighting smaller guys with no pop.

I don't know if Vic is chinny, but he sure has to work on some defensive mechanics. He's a very wide open slugger and for someone with the amateur pedigree of Nonito (2004 Olympic Trials finalist losing to Brian Viloria for flyweight spot), throwing lunging uppercuts is just asking for a beating.

For the record, I think Jorge Arce also suffers from a lack of defensive prowess. I'd still like to see Darchinyan vs Arce, but not because of the skill, because it would be a slugfest.

If that fight can't happen, I hope Nonito gets a fight with Arce so he can knock out that clown as well.

The beauty of the situation is that Vic's attitude beat him... his arrogance. Guys who can truly pop at that weight are rare. Vic's problem was that he does not think he needs to have a defense because he can pop. Guess he learned his lesson.

Yeah but now he's 31 going on 32 and has to relearn how to fight from square 1.

I think Vic is finished as a champion, long live the reign of Nonito!!!

Dude, Nonito weighed LESS than Vic during the weigh-in by half a pound. Plus Main Events called HIM and asked him to take on Vic on somewhat short notice. It's not like Nonito chased Vic, they put Nonito in front of Vic expecting the overrated winger to clobber Nonito. You simply don't know much about boxing.

At least Nonito had the BALLS to fight Vic unlike your queer latin hero Arce.

But you're right, Arce is at 115, I think Nonito should pick off that overrated bum for a good payday. :crafty:

Speaking of Arce, I notice you're not on his nuts anymore, are you just a bandwagon rider hopping on and off fighter's nuts as you go along?

Boy, you hit the nail on the head.. After getting nailed by counter hook after counter hook, Vic kept lunging in on Donaire. And Donaire, to his credit, was feinting the hell out of Vic.

Nevertheless, Vic never altered his attacked and eventually got caught flush, and I'd like to thank the Phillipines for making my weekend. As if the knockout wasn't sweet enough, I got to watch Donaire act like a professional in the post-fight interview while Vic looked like Marlon Starling after the Molinares fight (If you don't remember it, look it up).

what is there to brag about Arce? I still like him as a fighter but I kind of have to wait till he steps in the ring to root for him. Normally tha'ts how it works. Unlike you who rides fighter's nuts because of their wallet.

Not just for Arce, but Mijares, CAstillo, Montiel. Who the hell is Nonito gonna fight at 112? good luck getting Pongsalek in the ring with him.

So basically you're not Arce's boy anymore because he got his ass beat. True fair weather nuthugger.

Nonito doesn't have to stay at 112, he can fight any of the big names from 112-115. Unlike your other queer hero, Fagquez, Nonito has beat an elite, in his prime fighter and can pick and choose his next opponent.

He can get Wonjongkam if that guy wants some, he can get overrated but highly popular Kameda if that punk wants some, or he can get a rematch with Darchinyan again for a decent payday. He has options at 112.

If he goes back to 115 he can squash that midget Arce, whup on Montiel (even though Z Gorres already did that but got robbed), he can whip the shit out of Munoz who is basically a 115 version of Vic, and the best fight of all would be a showdown with Mijares.

The guy has options, you're just too blind of a nuthugger/hater to see them.

You're on Mijares' nuts now?

Before he schooled your midget hero Arce you were talking about how Mijares was going to get his ass kicked and how Arce was going to beat that ass now you're all over his nuts after the fact.

Rubio and I were telling you how good Mijares was and how it wasn't going to be an easy fight for that midget Arce and you kept trying to clown on us. Now you're pulling a 180??

Damn you're the truest definition of the term fair weather nuthugger.

dude I just said I still like Arce.damn dude simple shit goes right over your head.:dunno:

but I'm not a boxing groupie like you. I am a fan of certain boxers but I have to watch them boxing to root for them. When Arce fights again I'll root for him. is that so hard to understand?:notallthere:
