My take on this matchup is that the actual Mosley who fought at junior middle was past his prime. Norris might outpoint him. If the prime Mosley of 99-01 moved up to 154, then I 100% believe Norris gets KO'd.
what about the juiced up mosley who faced odh? he'd take a beating but i think he would get to norris.
I'd take Norris most of the time. He could blow it by being an idiot, but in reality, he's got a similar style to a younger Shane, but is (IMO) quicker and bigger.
Norris and Mosley weren't similar. Norris was better technically skilled, while Shane was more naturally gifted. I disagree about the speed thing. Norris threw more fluid combinations, but for pure speed Mosley is top 10 all time. I wouldn't put Norris on a top 10 handspeed list. Probably top 20, but not top 10. For pure handspeed Shane wasn't far off from Roy and Leonard. The separation being that Roy and Leonard were a lot more fluid, and their minds worked 50x faster than Shane's. But for just throwing combos at a stationary target? Prime Mosley has gotta be top 5-6 fastest hands ever.
I completely disagree, I don't think Mosley was anywhere near that fast. I wouldn't have Mosley on to a top ten fastest hands lost. Maybe you're right about Norris' fluidity giving an illusion of speed per se though. However, I do think in his younger days when he would stick and move a lot more with his height advantage, he could be a little bit like Norris. However, I only think they're similar when they fought in that manner. They're not when they both got creative.
Shane was a Robinson wannabe. More handspeed than Robinson, but vastly inferior at literally everything else. I dont know who Norris was like. His style was pretty unique. You see Jermell Charlo try to fight like Norris a lot, but Terry was 50x more talented than Jermell, so it doesn't look the same.
