    True..

But accomplishments are subjective to a certain extent.

    For example....

Are Joe Louis' 25+ consecutive defenses and 12 year reign a greater accomplishment than Ali's three titles, 15 year championship holding span, best ever quality of beaten opposition?

:nono: Because it's related!, tied together, connected, what have you....I'm just pin-pointing, with a long and effeminette witch claw, the contrast, between your shocking demonstration of overt humility in regards to Roy's stature in history, but deranged syrup coating for the current, "flavour of the month",...objective leeway for Fraud's felonies in relation to the health of this smouldering sport seems impossible for you to conceed AT THIS TIME while Fraud is on the high-end of the see-saw..But, you have indicated in this very thread, that once you are relieved from the agonizing strain of defensive duty, and the door bashing and gate rattling lulls down to a mere whisp, things will come out in the wash..and calmness, leads the way to your eventual rehabilitation :bears: .

My point stands and is valid. I´m not the one, who disappeared for three months after his favourite fighter got decapitated, I was here to take every stupid thread you opened after Gonzalez beat Dariusz, and it must have been a new one every ten seconds. I wouldn´t exactly call you Switzerland on the matter.

:cheer: Oates, remember to bang those ribs when you go to Perth mate, you will find it rewarding, he can't take it to the body, bang them as hard and as often as you can, that's the sweet spot for Danny Green.

well yeh, as all lists always are
much less subjective than a pile of mythical matchups though

with accomplishments you use actual events to argue

much better than shit like "Louis is greater because I BELIEVE he can beat any other heavy"

Who did Roy fight at 168???

He should best be remembered at 175 as being a guy who lost twice by KO in succession, got DQ'd and, for all his pitbull-baiting BIDNESS expertise, didn't make the biggest fight of his division.

Ultimately, part of a 175lbrs repertoire must be based on how well he did at 200+, and Roy falls behind Moore, Conn, Foster, Spinks etc in that category. Smacking the shit out of Joe Louis for 12 must count for more than beating JOHN RUIZ over 12. The mere fact that Foster CUT Ali is better than beating Ruiz over 12. Moores 9 rounds with Marciano is worth more than 12 round win over Ruiz. Spinks win over Holmes...well....nuff said.

For 70 years, and more, before the advent of the 6'6" 250lb heavyweight, thats all 175 was, a place where small guys got ready for a run at Heavyweight. Its still, outside of cruiser and straw/fly, the most MALIGNED division out there. Whats a 175lbr? A guy who was too light to make heavy.

You would have a point if Roy started at LH :dunno: Even though Roy didn't he still made a run at heavy and won a championship.

Roy was better @ 168 than Calzaghe, but I'd rank Joe higher at the weight due to his length of stay and all those wins @ 168.

Your obsession with Floyd is getting disturbing.

You're like that one guy on all the boards who talks about Tyson's "fleet-footedness" that kept e-mailing Dan Rafael with the same question (and was on Ant. Maxx's sig)
