That's how they've all been recently, I stopped bothering for fights that aren't on BoxNation.

The Floyd - Pacquiao one was awful too.

I got really lucky with this one, rock solid from start to finish.

I would pick conor to beat Paulie. Paulie doesnt hit hard enough to damage even a fatigued Conor. Plus, i think conor learned a lot from this fight.

OMG, Schaub is even more of a McGroupie than I thought. He might actually be in love with Conor. He had to stop watching in the 9th round, like a distressed wife.

Would you pick Conor to beat any top 10 fighter from 147 to 160?

I agree, I think Paulie is the only name fighter he'd have a realistic chance against. Even then I wouldn't be sure - a trained, in shape Paulie would have much better stamina.

I do have a feeling we'll see McGregor box again though, whether it be Paulie or someone else. He could conceivably make way more money from boxing, if he can manage to keep up the charade and shit talk.

Just imagine if he continued boxing and they announced him for his 5th fight.

"In the red corner, with a record of 0-4 and 0 KO's, the new king of boxing - The Notooooooorious Conor McGregoooooooooor!!!!!!".

Not really. I personally think that PBF deliberately made the fight seem closer than it really was

make the fight seems more legitimate. Give the imptression that he Koed a credible guy. See how PBF self-blowjobbed himself by saying he made up for the Pac fight. If he just dominated from beginning to end, everybody would say it was a farce.

nah he does. did you heard the post fight conference? did you already forgot the crying against Merchant cause he was too hard on him. He's a very sensitive guy and he cares a lot about criticism

6.5 mil is the number being thrown around for the PPV figures. And that doesnt inlcude the digital sales.

Jesus christ. I was on the fence about whether it would break the Pacquiao numbers.

I guess the crossover freak show appeal really was incredibly high.

6.5 million + ppv buys, then you have international viewers, the 3 + million people who illegally streamed it online, etc. mcGregor may have had his ass whipped in front of more sets of eyes than anyone in history.

Floyd's ex gf is probably 0-14 or something. Fucking Floyd padding his record. Then again other men beat their wives. Floyd outpoints them.

I wonder if the 6.5 million is the domestic PPV total or the world wide total?

I think that 4.6 million for Mayweather - Pac was the domestic and they did another million world wide.

If the 6.5 is the domestic then that is crazy.

Schaub and Rogan are generally okay guyts and have funny banter and are well-versed in combat sports generally but the problem is...they're too entrenched in UFC to know what's going on the other side of the fence.
Basically they're the opposite of longtime hardcore Boxing fans.

I can see the problem from both sides....

Yup. He's super sensitive about criticism.

After the De La Hoya fight he retired because for two fights in a row he was criticized for being boring ( Baldomir previously ). Then he only came out of retirement because Hatton mentioned how boring Floyd is in his post fight interview of the Castillo fight ("we've had more action in these 4 rounds than Floyd's given value for money in his entire career"). Got under Floyd's skin and so he came back to punish him. Then of course the meltdown with Larry merchant over the supposed cheap shot ( it was a legit legal punch) against Victor Ortiz. Floyd is very sensitive and so I do agree with you that after the criticism he got for the pacquiao fight ( which was also pacquiao' s fault)....he wanted to go out on a fight which saw him take more punches and had him slug the opponent out of there and Conor was the perfect guy for that.

I think the shows great and Ive never heard them be anything but respectful to boxing....their appraisal of this fight both before and after was more accurate than the hardcore boxing fans you compare them to, imo.

I used to really like Rogan, he's a good commentator - can't help but but like his energy and enthusiasm for a big UFC card - but god damn the more I listen to him and Schaub the more I think they're complete idiots.

I didn't think either of them were respectful of boxing at all. Rogan kept talking about the touch of death and all Conor had to do with hit Floyd once with the left hand, amongst various other BS I've forgotten. As if it's that easy to beat an elite boxer ffs.

Schaub said that Conor hits harder than anyone Floyd has fought before, is faster than Floyd, a better athlete than Floyd, and he even argued with Magginaggi that Conor hits harder than Judah even though Magginaggi has been in the ring with both guys and was saying "Believe me, he doesn't".

And let's not forget it was Rogan who played the part of the insecure UFC fanboy McNuthugger and started the whole "Oh but Conor would kill him in a real fight".

Which is a bunch of nonsense anyway, I mean why are you even thinking about a real fight? They're both sportsmen. Boxers and UFC fighters are professional fighters, they don't go around getting into street fights.

Not to mention MMA has more rules than boxing and in no way resembles a real fight - where you have guns, weapons, biting, eye gouging, and stomping on someone's head.
