I hope MWS does a mock round-by-round when the fight starts like he did on one of the recent fights where he said something like

"ROUND 1... They meet in the center of the ring... They start boxing each other...:l2:"

Has MWS commented on Canelo's supposed size advantage?

yes he appears to be a tiny jr middleweight, and he has no size advantage.

gotta go with the younger, bigger fighter in Canelo. Floyd run has been excellent (sure it could have been a lot better but that's for another time), but sooner or later, his inactivity and age are bound to catch up to him. I think it happnes this september. Canelo wins a close contreversial decision.

Basically anybody picking the Ginger has to be banking on Floyd turning old overnight. He's definitely OLDER, but still has enough left that he's too much for Canelo. Had Floyd struggled with Guerrero, I'd be considered. But he white washed Guerrero, and did so without hardly breaking a sweat. Ginger is a much better fighter than Guerrero (the Ghost blows), but I simply don't think he's good enough for Floyd. Canelo has a lot of holes that nobody else has been able to expose, because they were either bums, or a corpse (Shane).

Granted, Trout is a good fighter, and I give Canelo credit for beating him, but 1. Trout is no Floyd 2. That fight was MUCH closer than people seem to believe.

Floyd is too good for Canelo.

May be either commanding UD, or possible late TKO if Canelo's stamina fails him.

alvarez beat trout but lets face it, trout had to chance his entire fight plan when he saw he was behind after 4 rounds. who knows how the fight wouldve turned out in the court of public opinion if trout had stuck to his ideal gameplan.

i dont think its a matter of mayweather jr getting old for alvarez to win. at some point for him to win hed have to hurt mayweather jr, and either A) show more of a killer instinct or B) keep it close enough to get a gift decision.

i could see alvarez landing a big shot that hurts mayweather jr at some point, possibly. but i dont see him having what it takes to finish the guy off. i could see him getting a bogus decision, however. makes me hesitant to make the bet on mayweather jr w12 which is the most logical outcome

a cute little remark you made here , but over the last few years, Floyd has been very inactive. I don't care that it's a quick turnaroud after the Guerrero fight, being a part time boxer for all this years is definitively not a plus

What if Floyd's right hand problem recurs, but this time early on against Canelo. He surely wouldn't be able to keep a bigger guy off with just his jab and skills. He'd need to use his right hand.

Floyd has looked like shit at 154 so far. Take into account Canelos more varied attack and underated ability to avoid shots and Canelo has a serius chance to win. I got Canelo to win by decision.

It Would Be FUNNY As Hell if Floyd Lost a CONTROVERSIAL Decision...How Do Floyd ReeeAK When He HAVE Losses???...

Floyd HAS to Be Favored, but Canelo is YOUNG, STRONG & GOOD Enough to Keep the Fight CLOSE Enough to Where Floyd Could be "Robbed" of the Verdict...Canelo's Got UNDERRATED Handspeed Too & if Floyd's Reflexes are Even SLIGHTLY Off, he Can Get CAUGHT w/Something Big...

Hypothetically, if Canelo Won 3-4 Rounds, Scored a Flash Knockdown &/or Noticeably HURT Floyd, that Just MIGHT Be Enough to Sway the Judges...If Canelo Wins 5 CLEAR Rounds, the BEST Floyd Could Hope For is a DRAW...There's Definitely a Degree of PRESSURE on Floyd to SHINE...

I can't see Canelo winning this. I actually had Troutwwinning through 10. I feel he had the right game plan, the right style, but not enough power to get respect. Floyd will do everything but better. I don't see a stoppage, but I don't see it being very competitive.

What inactivity? Floyd may have only fought once a year over the last few years, but he is known as a gym rat and a perfectionist. He may not have been fighting much, but it doesn't mean he wasn't training or he was inactive. Also, his time in training camp isn't a joke and I seriously doubt Alvarez will ever be hungrier in the gym than Floyd is. I put money on Alvarez dogging it in the gym way before I would put it on a consistent champion like Floyd.

Now all that being said, it doesn't guarantee Floyd a victory.

To his credit, Floyd has alway's been a consummated professional. But still, I doubt he trained as diligently when he was ''retired'' as when he had a fight scheduled
