This fight isn't for us. It's for the masses.

We all pretty much know what's going to happen.

That's good point, but even the masses haven't talked about this as much as some earlier glorified sparring sessions. Perhaps they are marketing this mainly in the south

Prepare yourself for the endless "this is the highest grossing fight of all time" etc. Of course it is...the HD PPV costs $74.99!

At first I'd said I'd buy it until I realized how much it cost. I'm passing on purchasing...I'll find a place to watch but I'm not spending $75 on any fight.

75 bucks is about as much as I'd consider paying for a ticket for an event. :notallthere:

75 bucks to watch a fight on TV that ranks about 9,000th all-time on the list of intriguing matchups

Paying these assholes for the priviledge of watching your own TV is a sucker's game

I wouldn't pay $75 to watch this thing live in person with good seats

This is probably the best fight out there right now for Mayweather Jr; the first time in a while where he's fought a genuine fighter in or near his prime at or near his optimum weight. Yet I agree with the consensus; unless he ends a big fight changer or Floyd has gotten old overnight, I can't see Canelo winning. Mayweather UD12 for me.

75 is still too much. MWS and Billeh will see if they can find you a better deal.

Floyd had endorsements with Addidas and I think At&T or something...I remember him in a commercial or two.

He was dropped just after he decided to beat up the mother of his kids...which he wound up doing time for.

Londons Ashley Theopane (who fought Danny Garcia to an SD) recently signed to Mayweather promotions and has written an online diary about life in the Mayweather gym, sparring with Floyd. Pretty interesting stuff.
