Ohhhhhh shit, Felix Verdejo in HOT WATER!

I suppose, like nearly everything in life, you gradually become accustomed to life in prison and you can still find some enjoyment out of it. But looking at it from the outside, I'd definitely take a quick death over life in prison

 

There's no such thing as "quick" with death row.

If Pendejo does get capital punishment, he's gonna be sitting on death row for AT LEAST 10 years... likely closer to 20.

But still, I'd rather him die after 10-20 years than let him, as you said, spend 50 years in prison and die of natural causes as an old man.

Back to the original point though, Pendejo is 27 right now, let's say he's convicted and given death, I'm willing to bet he won't be executed until he's in his 40s.

 

Pendejo really did fuck himself by kidnapping her. That made the Feds get involved - now it's out of Puerto Rico's hands.

Had he say, just shot her and dumped her, a Puerto Rican court would probably have him back home in less than 25 years.

So for the sake of justice, it's good that there was a kidnapping and it became a federal case.

 

Pendejo denied bail. Will sit in prison until his day in court, per reporting from our ole buddy Jake.

 

Hopefully he gets put into genpop and it's not only revealed what he did, but let all the other inmates believe he's worth tens of millions of dollars.

 

If it’s federal case he will probably do his time in the states...

 

Right now he's remanded to a federal prison on the Island.

When he's actually sentenced, I guess he would live the rest of his life in a prison in the states.

I'm happy his final fight was a KO loss. He can never say he went out on top.

 

Yeah i thought about this too. A lot of defense lawyers are going to use this as part of their case for athletes involved in contact sports in the future. In this one my guess is they will say he was being extorted and acted out irrationally and violently due to CTE. Also being a boxer he's "trained to solve things with violence" ...

I'm not sure if there has been advances but from what i recall CTE can only be diagnosed in an autopsy so it will be easier for them to try using it.

 

Yep. Diagnosis is only possible via Post Mortem.

 

I guess if he's found in the same state Valero was we could get an answer then.

 

This also just ALLEGED at this point, but I was watching a podcast about it. This guy is saying that he's hearing from people in PR that this accomplice the FBI has is in fact, Verdejo's wife.



We shall see...

But I don't doubt it. She seems involved imo.

I think Verdejo's motive was avoiding 18 years of child support. The wife's motive was revenge.

 

I also heard a rumor that the wife's family, who like I said is a crime family in PR, threatened Verdejo. So he might have been coerced into offing her.

first, we note what Whiskey alluded to earlier- the crutch/excuse {perhaps tenable in Papkes case} that he had dementia from the brutal wars he was in.

But more importantly, it mentions a divorce, and a purported reconciliation, but refers only to a "Wife" rather than an "Ex Wife".
