Actually, I was on his account last night, and he does have Reed on "ignore." A bunch of us got together and watched the fight.

 

Even though I didn't list an official prediction, I thought Jermain would win a decision. How wrong I was and I'll eat crow gladly. The new champ is exciting, and his punch selection is deceptive in that he'll throw a couple of light ones out there to lull the opponent into a false sense of security, and then BOOM, a stiff thudding shot smashes and a few other grenades are thrown right after.

Kessler is FAR from a bum brah. I'd favor Kessler to take Pavlik apart in fact. I'm fans of both of them, but Kessler is just a more complete fighter than Pavlik, and is way quicker and more elusive. Kessler has fast hands, but unlike Taylor, Kessler is actually a STRAIGHT puncher, and is accurate as hell. He has more power than Taylor as well. I think Kessler stops Pavlik, and I think you'd agree with that after Kessler disposes of Joe.

Slappy Joe will get rid of Kessler, then he will fight Pavlik, and then The Ghost will waste the Slappy one.

We'll see in the Calzaghe fight, I just don't see what some of you see in Kessler. He doesn't look on Calzaghe or Pavlik's level to me.

He looks technically proficient, but robotic, and simply doesn't look anything special to me.

 

I was pretty impressed w/ Paviliks jab and how relaxed he was in the ring. He showed a lot of heart after being down and although not very fast he's a really accurate puncher and has a nice right hand to go along with his jab.
