MK, I think it had more to do with the overhand right that his opponent was loading up.

This was the first time I've seen him, so maybe he was just adapting to his opponent.

He did rarely throw it. He pawed with it to open the second round, I think, but did too much with it.

I look forward to seeing his semi with Glazkov. In fact, both should be pretty good.

Honestly the fighter that's impressed me the most is Sutherland. He looks like a pro already. Good fighter, I look forward to seeing him in the pro ranks.

I wondered if Vastine was still in it, the only time I saw him was when he beat the British guy.

It should be a good fight and definitely a contrast in styles.

Lomachenko just pitched another near shutout against Kilic.

    ....

:doh:Sheesh, that Cuban landed a ton of scoring blows, especially in the last round that weren't counted. Boumjunoung is horrible to watch as well.

diazs style can't help him with these judges, too hard for all of them to see his shots when he bulls his way in

Sutherland landing a few straight rights as DeGale backs up...which he does a lot.

DeGale is just owning the perimeter of the ring now. Sutherland is just not in this fight.

    Heavyweights are coming up next.

Acosta-Chakhiev and then Deontay Wilder takes on the very awkward Italian Clemente Russo.

Wilder is slowly falling farther behind. Down 4-0 going into the last round.

Yeah, it's pretty much as I expected as well. Wilder just isn't advanced enough at this point to do much against such an awkward opponent.

    And it's official...the 2008 U.S. Olympic team finishes with 1 medal, and it's just a bronze.

What a shocker Barnes lands three punches, Shiming throws three punches. 2-0 Shiming

Zou has an annoying amateur potshotting style, but he is pretty good though. He basically dominated the Irishman.

The interview with Barnes afterwards was pretty funny.

Interviewer: "At least you get to go home with a bronze medal".

Paddy: "Day cun fcking kipit fur orl oy kur!!"

Is anyone else bored of Cuban fighters? They're all the same, the same slick, potshotting style, you know exactly what to expect. They are good amateurs, but just boring.

Fuck me, Frenchy got jobbed in that 1st round. Landed a fair few clean punches that weren't scored against the cooban.

The cuban won round 2, but this round be an even fight at this point.

I gotta say I just hate amateur boxing.

The favoured styles, and mainly the judging.

BOTH these guys, Frenchy and Cooban have landed clean, thudding body shots, and not one of them has been scored. That's preposterous.

Is this a rule in amateur boxing or something, no body shots count? And if not, why the fuck aren't they being scored?

Fucking yes, down goes a Cuban. Vive la France.

The Frenchy looked pretty good to be honest.

I was pretty surprised to see Price beaten so easily by the Italian. Price looked promising, especially for a huge fucker, and the Italian hadn't really looked like a world champ.
