George Foreman used to claim that Ali did one or both of these (depending on what day it was when he was asked) 1. Snuck in to the auditorium when nobody was looking and loosened the ropes. 2. Poisoned Foreman's water. ...and he may or may not have trapped Foreman's foot in a bear trap.
Oscar took cortisone shots in his hands... 1). it's a steroid. 2). it numbs the pain allowing him to fight. This was brought to light (and admitted to by Oscar) prior to the rematch with Mosley.
So did PBF and just about every other boxer that has had hand problems. Forrest had cortizone shots in his shoulder. I'm not even sure it's illegal, whether it's a steroid or not.
It happened to Antonio Tarver and Wladimir Klitschko, as well. But Wlad was also 'vaselined' by his own corner, so he really stood no chance against Brewster.
Is this thread entertaining the possibility that this was the first time it occurred to Margarito (or his trainer) to load his gloves? If so, it's ridiculous. Mosley was supposed to be a tune-up fight for Margarito's rematch with Cotto. He was a huge under-dog and hardly anyone gave him a chance to win. If Margarito felt in his heart that he could easily beat Mosley without loading his gloves, then he would not have taken the chance. How could this not have been the case in the Cotto fight? Or the Cintron fight (especially the first one)? I think you'd be erring on the side of absurdity to think that this were the first time Margarito's camp pulled this stunt.
In regards to Wlad,.. I think the same thing that happenned to him in the 1st Brewster fight, happenned to Margarito in the Mosely fight,.. both looked eerily similar. Not poisoned water or vaseline,.. but I have a sneaking suspicion both had been cracked to the pancrease,.. which for one, accounted for Wlad's high blood sugar levels post-fight.
I think there's some 'tricks' with his handwrapping aswell,.. he virtually admitted to 'giving a few things away' when speaking about the method that was used to wrap Tito's hands.
How could you leave out Luis Resto? He even admitted Panama had taken the padding out of the gloves a few times before. Something that'll eventually come out in regards to Plasterito.
is Tam Tam the biggest bitch ever? starts a thread then criticises everyone who posts something slightly incorrect in it :atu: art fag geek :kick:
Jack Dempsey had loaded gloves in all of his fights Jack Johnson and Sam Langford took dives in every fight that they ever lost
