He has restraint. If i wrote that movie, her tits would be in my mouth at least 3 times.

I saw OUATIH about 2 weeks ago, and was so underwhelmed by it that I forgot to comment.

Honestly, one of Tarantino's dullest and most uninteresting movies - just pretentious and boring.

Ah believe you 100%, Xplosive. This is the beauty o’ subjectivity, one man’s meat is another man’s poison. No’ tae purposely be contrary, but Ah personally genuinely enjoyed the film and will watch it again. Ah’m a wee bit biased because Ah used tae love the auld western shows they used tae show ‘em on the telly and the whole fading actor wi’ a solid stuntman sidekick helping him hold his life taegether wiz interesting tae me, amongst things.

    8/10

    SEE OU(ATIH)!

    It wasn't that bad.

Objectively, in this current climate and era of movie-making, it's way above anything else.

It would be a quality movie if it was some subpar director who never made a movie worth a damn.

But as it stands, it gets measured up to Tarantino's other films - that's just the way it goes.

OUATIHW doesn't hold a candle to Pulp Fiction, Dogs, Jackie Brown, or even Kill Bill, Basterds and Django.

I even think The Hateful Eight was better.

That too, but if a movie really impresses me, I usually remember to post about it.

OUATIHW underwhelmed me, but I wasn't really surprised that it did. I had my suspicions that it would be very overrated.

If it comes down to OUATIHW vs The Irishman.... The Irishman was a MUCH MUCH better movie.

I don’t get why Jackie Brown gets put in the list of one of Tarintino’s best films. I think it’s a bit overrated. The performances are great but the story is a bit weak. I also wouldn’t put the Hateful 8 in that category.

I can kind of understand your dislike of OUATIH as it doesn’t really flow like a typical story. It feels more like we’re watching a few random days in people’s lives who happen to be movie stars and the whole thing kind of felt like a methodical build up to a pretty cool climax. Thing is, for me, I actually enjoyed that build up and I enjoyed it more than The Irishman and Joker.

agREED. I cannot stomach watching that film a second time when the first time felt like a chore. It has a good moments here and there but that's it. However I was glad that Tarantino dusted the moribund career of Pam Grier at the heels of the success of Pulp Fiction. That was nice of him, but this film did nothing for her career as she went back to obscurity afterwards.

Word. If it was me I would have Salma give me a lapdance for five minutes of screen time that would require rehearsals and multiple takes.
