    Sly posted round 5 I beleive ...

Now Sly posted this round because he felt it was if not Floyds best round , at least one of his best ...Floyd landed a few punches in this round.
Sly posted this to showcase Floyd during this fight .
I will clearly admit that this was not a great round for Oscar.

With all that said , go watch that round. Take a good hard look at HOW MANY "air punches" & "glove punches" Floyd actually threw in that round.
It's tremendous - and this was one of his "GOOD" rounds ...
He air balled and gloved punched even more in other rounds ...

Oscar did a good job defensively, but be honest......Who missed more punches:

    Floyd
    or
    Oscar?

You keep talking about how many punches that Mayweather missed, when Oscar missed WAY more than he did.

I've done my own CompuBox tally...

I've got Floyd up 5 to 2 on Oscar.

    Great pics ...

However pics are not the fight ....

I can take some pics from Mayorga/Delahoya and convince you Mayorga kicked Delahoya's ass ....

    I disagree ....
All fighters miss punches and Delahoya is no different.
With that said couting all air punches and glove blocked punches , in my opinion Floyd missed allot more the DLH ...

You just have to win more rounds, the whole "you have to take it from the champ" is a myth. There is no rule that says "close rounds go to the champion, the challenger has to show more passion" or whatever. It's supposed to be boxing tradition, but plenty of challengers have won titles on close decisions where they have been given the benefit of the doubt in close rounds.

Besides, I think that myth has even less meaning nowadays due to so many titles being out there.

Oscar blocked punches and Floyd slipped punches.

    "Like I said before"

It's more dramatic and pronounced to see a guy miss wildly over the top than it is a guy picking off punches with his gloves. Oscar did a damn fine job of picking off shots with his gloves. He didn't get enough credit for that.

    "However"

I'm certain if you breakdown the punch numbers by rounds, you'll see that down the stretch, Floyd landed at a much higher percentage while Oscar MISSED at a higher percentage.

If you had the fight even after 8 rounds, I can't see how you can make a case for Oscar winning the fight. It was pretty obvious (to me at least) that Floyd won 9, 10 & 11.

A bunch is a stretch. A few maybe.

He was barely moving his head at all. That's why Roach said he was like a statue.

Oscar ducked into a ton of punches. That's always been his problem.

I watched DLH-Camacho the other night and it was amazing when you saw how much speed in terms of hand and foot Oscar has lost.

It was funny when Oscar stood right in front of Floyd , Floyd threw like 5 or 6 shots and Oscar made him miss ALL of them without even moving away ...

it's because PBF was so afraid he was throwing shots from 10 feet out. it reached a point later in the fight when PBF was aiming for ODH's gloves, content to hit him there since apparently, he got credit for them, and it didn't require that he get too close.

    Dude......give me a break.

I guess De La Hoya was content to not throw punches in the center of the ring because he was scared of a counter.

the only thing ODH was afraid of was getting tired. unfortunately, worrying about it didn't turn out to prevent it.

Like Mayweather knew what the scorecards were, especially in a place like Las Vegas with some of the most outrageous scorecards ever (sometimes in favor of De La Hoya).

Credit Oscar for showing very good parrying skills.
