Here, here. Lennon Jr over Buffer for me.

 

To me that's part of the fun, coupled with the loud, cheesy, baritone voice.

Let's face it, boxing is a pretty extreme sport isn't it?

For me, someone as meak and subtle as Lennon Jr has no place as a ring announcer, he makes me want to feel asleep rather than jump up and down getting furiously excited for a big fight.

 

I don't deny that. I'm talking purely how good they are at their job, not as people. I don't know enough about either to judge that.

Lennon JR seems like a nice chap, and it's great that he does like boxing.

As an announcer though I find him pathetic, he makes me want to to fall asleep, he's just feeble.

It would be like playing Chopin at a nightclub, the 2 just don't go together.

Lennon JR is perhaps serviceable for some more low key, small fights, but for big fights? Buffer destroys him.

And :: at "The Classy" Jimmy Lennon JR. What's classy about him, his weak, high pitched voice?

Anyone who cares this much about the guy introducing the fights and has such a passionate preference for one over the other is probably a fag.
