We can agree on Enter The Dragon. It's one of my all time favorites. If I really thought about it, yeah, ETG probably is the greatest action film ever made. At worst, top 5.

Star Wars just isn't my "thing", but I don't knock it, because I can at least UNDERSTAND why they're considered masterpieces, even if I don't share in the fandom.

Empire Strikes Back being the exception - by FAR my favorite Star Wars movie.

Jurassic Park still holds up now and shits all over Jurassic World. It's just a great movie.

I know there are loads of Tarantino haters here but I don't give a fuck, Pulp Fiction should have won over Forrest Gump. I like Forrest Gump as well.

I think Pulp Fiction is extremely overrated. A LOT of people call it a top 10 all time movie, which is fucking hilarious IMO.

I'd actually say it's one of the most overrated movies ever. It's a quality movie, but IMO, not a masterpiece.

It's one of Tarentino's better movies, but I don't think it's his best.

I think Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, and Inglorious Basterds were all better. So in my book, Pulp Fiction is the 4th best Tarantino movie.

COULD it be argued that it deserved Best Picture over Gump? Yeah.

Was it some robbery? Not at all.

I actually see Gump as the better movie.

Inglorious Basterds is an absolute masterpiece. Was it even nominated? I rate it even over pulp Fiction.

I have to agree that Enter The Dragon is probably the best action film ever. Iconic film.

I'm almost positive Basterds was nominated for Best Picture.

I agree it's a better movie than PF.

Jackie Brown is by far the most UNDERRATED Tarantino movie, and my favorite Tarantino movie.

I love Kramer vs kramer. Coppola thought he'd made a total turkey with apocalypse now, in many ways it was regarded as a disaster

I agree with Panchy. To say Jurassic Park was a better film that Forrest Gump is utterly ridiculous. Jurassic Park was good but Gump was outstanding and the kind of film that touched all of your emotions. It's not even close.

I also disagree Leo deserved the acting award over McConaghey. MM did a much better and deeper acting job than Leo and to be honest I think it was a better movie too.

I agree Little Miss Sunshine over the Departed the latter of which I found to be a story that was all over the place.

I'd take Dances With Wolves over Goodfellas. That's was not a mistake and as amazing as Goodfellas was Dances With Wolves was even better. That one was close.

Social Network over All The President's Men.

I also got no problem with Chariots Of Fire over Raiders Of The Lost Ark. I haven't seen COF since I was a kid but I remember thinking it was a great film and I watched it repeatedly back in the day whenever it came on Showcase.

Spike is obviously a pervert. I guarantee he put himself in his own movies to help himself get laid. Not that I blame him.

I don't see why one film has to win the award. If you got more than one film that deserves an Oscar give them both one. An Oscar says the movie that was made that year was amazing. Why does it have to be the best film of the year? If there are 2 or 3 that year give it to them all.

    Anyone agree with that?

Fine with me. And some years don't give out any best pictures. Honestly, do not give a shit about the Oscars. The nominee pool is a useful guide for picking a good movie, but the process of picking a winner is obviously political.
